1931 Indian Four motorcycle

1931 Indian Four motorcycle

The top of the range Indian was a massive four-cylinder one known as the Four. It was a luxury and powerful machine — the dream of nearly every motorcyclist. At the beginning of the 1930s, however, namely at the time of the great economic depression, only a few people could afford such luxury. Interest in these high-quality but expensive Indian motorcycles faded away here, and customers preferred to buy cheap machines, particularly the small Jawa 175s.
