Victory Motorcycle Forward Control 4 inch Extension Install Tips

Reverse bleeding the system is quick, but it can potentially damage your seals in the master cylinder, so go slow when using the syringe plunger. Dot 4 brake fluid is corrosive on skin and paint so make sure to clean up once your done if going with the brake hose extension (not needed on 2 inch extensions, just the 4 inch overs).
Use telflon tape on the threads of the bleeder but avoid taping more than just the threaded portion of the valve.

I took the return spring off the brake lever so I could bleed the system overnight without stretching it.

  • thanks for the great vid

where did you buy the extensions and what brand are they?
I find some on the web but in de description they never include the highball.
    Driving a 2013 highball myself.

    Thanks for the info!

  • Hey, I didn't like the fitting being so low either. If you loosen the hex screw holding it on from behind and rotate the extension mesh hose 180 degrees and refit the retention bolt, there is enough slack in the lines to rotate the whole assembly forward. I have mine rotated where it's flush with the extension rods. It doesn't hang out underneath and I have no clearance issues now.

You might try it. Thanks for the guide vid!

  • I bought mine from Kool Metal

  • Hey, I'm about to do the exact same upgrade. Do you have any extended or extra footage of the rear brake bleeding process. That seems to be what I'm getting hung up on. Any help would be appreciated.
