Triumph were criticised for not having a locking cap on their last Bonneville, they go and make one for the new Bonny, low and behold there are loads of aftermarket ones available with no lock, and now they are making solid brass ones to really attract the petrol thieves and scrap dealers..the buying public are a fickle lot. Just sayin'.
Beware of some toe rag stealing it, trust no one.
Hello Stu, chrome/ally is good, Brass is better ! The brass parts on your bike look really classy and yet still discrete. Yours is a very nice example of a Triumph Bonneville.
It balances the exhaust tips nicely, you could say it really "tightens" up the look (pun intended).
Hi Stuart i used to have a T100 love you videos and your bike, i am thinking of having one next year, at six foot tall i always thought my bonnie was a bit small so i sold it will have another test ride next year.
Appreciate you videos and your dry Yorkshire humor . Particularly liked the story about the funeral directors widow and how to preserve almost anything .
Yep, prefer that one, nice addition
Brass ? Gold would be extremely more appropriate.
And Still waiting for the 1968-1970 versus your new Triumph Bonnie …
Lovely
Yes, actually it's better than the earlier ones… But it should have a lock in it, I think… Brass looks just perfect with black!
Hello Stuart, I like it, gives it a touch of class. A brass oil filler cap might look pretty smart.
A nice design and would be nice in chrome as I have a Green and Fusion White tank.
I like it.
This does make a difference, looks absolutely spot on. Another brilliantly shot video fella
really nice touch. It has a classy subtle touch.
That cap looks amazing! I'm digging the brass for sure! I'm hoping I can go a similar route with mine.
also, a part I would like to see produced in brass is the handlebar clamp, and the bar end pieces. See it as a kit. I think that would be gorgeous!
Nice tie in w exhaust tips!👌🏻
Tastefully done.

Video idea: why not show us the Motone workshop and interview someone there for us?
Great job Stuart, I think the brass looks classy and timeless with the black paintwork on your T120. I used to own a Thruxton 900 in gloss black with the gold tank stripe and often thought that brass accessories and bling would look so much better with the black paintwork, as opposed to the all popular alloy or chrome aftermarket parts. Keep up the great work mate – congratulations on a great looking bike and a successful YouTube channel. Love your work !
Hi Stuart,
An unrelated question, 1st Great Video 's. Super suggestions! I plan to order a T120 incorporating many/most of your mod suggestions.
My question is ……not much talk about fitting a somewhat fatter tire on the front of the T120 . Are there any benefits/harm to this mod on the bike ?
Do you recommend or not ? Is this possible without rim or fork change ?
Is it worth pursuing ?
Thanks so much for the informative videos, they are by far the best out there. Keep up the great work !
Gee, really nice… is it vented?
I'd be afraid of it getting nicked. Looks great though. I find the locking cap to be a pain in the ass although I'd be the first one griping if it wasn't available. I like to gripe. Nice journey you're on Stuart. Thanks for sharing.
Take your gasket off your old T cap and put it on the new brass one. Trust me. I've got the same brass cap and the seal on it ripped after a month. Love the heavy, "steampunk" look on my Bobber.
Very Classic looking Stuart
Another great video… I do like where your going with the bike but I also loved that alloy filler cap. I'm having to watch your channel out of ear shot of the wife as my shopping list is ever growing…
It absolutely works! Thanks for the idea 👌🏻
I️ think it looks brilliant! Thank goodness for you and your videos. When I️ buy my T120 in a year or less I’ll have some ideas ready to go.
