Triumph Bonneville Bobber Test Ride
After the hype of the launch event, it is finally time for me to have a test ride of the new Triumph Bonneville Bobber and see what my thoughts are.
Just for fun, for the readers of this description. Can you name all of the Bob/Bobby’s that pop up in this video? Leave a comment.

A bike that has no practical purpose!
Captain Corrosion!!!!
I'm guessing you wouldn't swap it for your scrambler Phil? Question, in the true spirit of a modern classic, and I know it's a very different bike but did you prefer the Thruxton?
Welcome to the wonderful world of being able to flat foot a bike.
Just tested the bobber to day and i have to agree its a real hoot to ride but not at all practical ,but no where as much fun to ride for me as my street scrambler.
great vid as allways
Huzzah!
Careful of those engine cases! 😉
A spiffing video sir!
Neither retro nor modern. No performance in comparison to a modern naked for example. No range. Single front brake disc, useless rear. No decent suspension. Not a great finish to the bike quality wise.
Apart from the look at me on a Triumph, I don't get it.
And how much again?!
I'll be interested to see the kind of guy who buys one of these.
New to the channel Phil. Cheers for the quick look at it sir.
Nice man. We just made a Custom Bobbers & Harleys vid you might enjoy. LIKED!
Great video man, Thank You. Looking forward to your next one.
Good review Phil. I think I love my V7 so much because it fits my stumpy legs well. You should give it a try out if we get the chance to ride out! 🙂
you've come a long way last time I sore you was when your front break failed good to see you doing well.
Think I'd rather have a Meriden lump in a proper hardtail frame with 9 inch over springers….Old school Chop……It's not doing it for me at all….I prefer what my old mate Johnny Cactus builds !
I think the most important thing we can take from this is that you're a Borrower. 😉
Interesting reading the comments on how the bobber isn't practical. I think that was the last thing the designers were thinking. A good bike is the one you enjoy riding whatever shape or size right. I did watch Baron Grumble's green lane attempt on a super sport, GSXR I think. Funny to watch but not practical. If the bobber is a nice cruise to meet friends at a cafe on a sunny weekend or a trip to the coast along country lanes, I get that.
I think it is like you said a fun bike.
nice test ride pal, i saw one with mini ape hangers on it and omg i loved it
Not saying i`m jealous but i`m jealous… lol
Great review, I need to try one of those!
I like that style 1930s, its rebel style, no ordinary.
honest review, well done
Good ride review Phil, I'm getting to like it more each time I see it, but £10,500 around here for the cheapest, I'd much sooner buy an old Triumph and build my own for half the priice, and give it better brakes, lol, RSM8.
Thanks Phil for a comprehensive review. I thought I recognised the roads , I ordered one on the launch night from Destination Triumph!
Hey man quick question, how long was the ride? Did you feel tired or something like that?
Thanks!
Wow, you are a little fella. Has the advantage that smaller capacity bikes are now an option?
