WHERE IS THE TRIUMPH TROPHY MANUFACTERED, IS IT THAILAND ? NOTICE ALL THE LATER TRIUMPH'S ARE MANUFACTERED IN THAILAND, I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL TRIUMPH T-100, LOOK AT THE SERIAL NUMBER ON THE FRAME, IF IT HAS TWO T;S, IT IS MANUFACTERED IN THAILAND, THE NEW TRIUMPH TROPHY LOOKS LIKE THE BMW 1200 RT, LOOK CLOSELY. LOOKING FORWARD TO CHECK THAT BIKE OUT.
There's a problem with your shift key.
I only hope and wish that they would update the Rocket 3 with this gear!!!
Completely agree. Add to that the bike is piloted by Michelin Man in a black suit.
Agree. Would like to see the bike and hear it. Love the Touring style, but as a Bonnie rider, I would like a Trophy without the electronic gizmo's! As for the Thai stuff. I am told even BMW's are not made in Germany anymore;)
welcome to the copy BMW club what a fucking joke I love Triumph they have had it all together in the past 15 or so years but this is a joke a really bad joke….if I wanted a BMW I would buy a BMW not a rip off of a BMW…fuck you Triumph
Triumphs are Made in England. Only those for the Asian markets are Made in Thailand.
Not sure why the angry responses here. It is a sport touring bike with a lot of features typically only found on more expensive, larger motorcycles: audio system, iphone integration, heated grips and seat, and best of all, electronic cruise control. Before the trophy, all sport tourers were pretty bare bones motorcycles. I know. I have the 2009 Yamaha FJR, a terrific motorcycle but would be nicer on my recent 600 mile extended weekend with the Trophy's goodies.
The Trophy has been in Triumph's lineup off and on since 1956. The previous big touring version of the Triumph Trophy 900 was in production back in 1996. The only thing new about this bike is the modernization. you're completely off-base with your pissing and moaning about Triumph copying BMW.
I don't understand which particular aspect of the Trophy is "a rip off of a BMW"
you can go back to your sales office now thank you
duhhhhhhh
I don't sell bikes for a living. I ride motorcycles (03 Speed Triple, 07 1098, 2011 Diavel) for fun, and make video games for a living. Do some research next time before you spout off inane bullshit. Wikipedia and manufacturer websites are just a Google search away…
You can go back to your cave now, thank you.
back in your orifice dipshit, little boi's should not be heard
and just so you understand why I feel I am entitled to my opinion……
Disjointed, frenetic, obnoxious music.. no slae
demeaning to the bike model and Triumph Corp..
Get a new advertising agency..
Really, really amateurish and totally misses the target " adult/mature" buyer..
No sale.
Not quite ready to give up the RSV, but would like to transition into a sport tourer now that the blister (i.e. Wife) doesn't like to ride anymore.
Very poor. They need to look at how Kawasaki did the ZZR1400. That's how to do it!
I like it, absolute fantastic!
Not my favorite video. But, I might just want to get one of these, but have one questions for Triumph. Can you PLEASE shave 50 pounds off it? Or, take the 1050 Sprint GT and put a real windscreen on it. I have an 07 ST and LOVE it, but the stock windscreen does not protect from the shoulders up, and I've tried a Triumph tall screen and a Zero Gravity, and both buffet the head and are noisy. I want a light motorcycle with GOOD wind protection. Am I asking too much?
The video is just a billboard. The bike will sell itself once any serious tourer digs deeper and sees what features this bike has for the price. It's a serious contender and I think the other manufacturers will have to stand up and take notice. All it's missing is a coffee maker.
the next BMW R1200RT with the water cooled engine will eat it's lunch and then some. Aside from that It's either the Guzzi Norge, The BMW R100RT or K1300GT, or Yamaha FJR for a current up to date sport tourer. Too bad that Ducati no longer has a bike in this market, or the Aprilla Futura is no longer made.
KTM could build a killer sport tourer too.
I correct myself. The latest BMW K bike is the 1600. Like a 7 series sedan, only on two wheels.
Buy BMW and be happier, ride longer , and resell for more.
Don't get a very good look at the bike, but the music rocks, and makes me wanna go try one out.
Yup, I have.
I took the Triumph Trophy SE plunge last summer, after considering the FJR and the R1200RT. The Trophy gives you the most for the money. It's touring first, but a blast in the twisties. (I rode a cruiser before). I really wanted the new FJR, but it leans more towords sport than than I was looking for, and I could have the Trophy for about the same money. I ride every day and love it so far.
