My custom paint job on my 1996 Harley Evo Dyna Springer Low Rider.
What was once a purple (violet pearl) 1996 Harley Dyna Low Rider has now morphed into this. It has a 3 over Paughco Springer front end, an FLH Dresser style rear fender, Mustang seat, drag pipes, tombstone tail light and a black paint job with poyple pinstripes that I did myself in my garage. She came with the blacked out motor and allot of chrome, I just took it from there. Is it a bobber, is it a chopper, naw, its just my custom Harley.

What a great sound!!!! Looks great too!
Didn't hide it, just took it off. Too cluttered for me. Everything else is under the dash.
Was it difficult to switch out the front forks to a Springer spec? This is exactly what I am thinking about doing with my Low Rider.
It all depends on which Springer you choose. If you spend the extra loot and get a Paughco, then its a direct swap. If you go for a cheapy set of forks like the chinese dna Springer, then its a great deal of work getting it to fit, not to mention the loss of close to 30% of your total steering sweep. I ran the DNA for a season, to me the Paughco was a very worthwhile upgrade.
would you mind telling me what the product number was of the paughco front end you used i am in the process of looking into that now for the winter months , to finish my lowrider. Thanks for any info you might have ! Craig
The Paughco part number is NS181SD-3. Its the 3" over Dyna specific chrome Springer with the shock. Its a 100% bolt on front end and rides great. I ran a Chinese DNA Springer on this bike for a while but really prefer the Paughco. If I had to mention one thing about the Dyna specific Springer, that would be that you should not let the forks flop over when getting off the bike. Do that too often and the fork stop breaks. Treat it with respect and you'll love the forks for years.
How would you rate the ride compared to standard setup?
Because its a Paughco, versus the cheaper DNA, the ride is pretty darn good. It is not as good as the stock narrow glide. A Springer simply does not have as much travel as the stock suspension. But it is good enough that I never regretted the swap.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
