How To rejet for filter pods and tune motorcycle cv carburetors jetting for café racer motorcycle
This video on how to tune and jet modify your cv carburetors to run with Emgo filter pods on your café racer , bobber and custom motorcycles. Proper jetting and tuning is very important with pods. Here is the dial-a-pod tuning method if you don’t want to remove your carbs: https://youtu.be/Na6dbH9Mprc
I helped out a youtube fan with his CB450 by installing a carb kit to make his bike run better with pod filters. The kit would of course also work with K&N or uni-filters too. Badd ass on your chopper, bobber or custom café racer motorcycle ! excellent for keihin or mikuni when tuning cv carbs.

Yer well you can get CV's to run OK some of the time with Pod filters but you wiil never get them to run OK all of the time.
Love to have one of your drivers.. never seen bowl screw loosen so easily. assembly tape.. wasn't that PSI rated?? LOL
Do the zip ties have to be green?
SO, that's how the pro's do it, huh? Tell us, did Jaguar ever get back to you with a report on his results?
I have to ask….How long does it take you to come up with this shit? Lol…
I'm he looking for advice on my carbs. I have similar pods.
my bike is a 81 xj750 seca.
jets are stock. looking for guidance on what size jets to use with my pods, and I'm making my own exhaust. 2.5 to a 1.5 with a 3.5 tip with baffling inside it.
thank you for any help.
Ok your not helping these people .The idea of pods is more air flow then if you rejet correctly more air and fuel equals more power if you restrict the air flow again with a goofy washer why not stay stock .I have pods on all my bikes don't put a washer in their I need to make a video to help people rejet there bikes no don't put washers to restrict the airflow back to stock.
Is the paper cup at the end a wind up? Seriously you're going to spend all that money on pods to have them covered in coffee filters?
This guy is a yo yo !
i have pod air filters on my 81 gs750e and if i clean them with soapy water then blow the water out with air pressure spray them with wd40 and blow the excess out but leave them damp with wd40 my bike runs fine and the oiled filters do a decent job i have pod air filters and 4into 1 exaust and the mixture screws out 4 turns i have to clean and oil the filters every 3000 miles but it seems great and the plugs are a dark tan color the 4 turns out setting is the maximum limit as told to me by this Italian guy who races these bikes i need bigger pilot jets and to thin out the needle spacers on the diaphragms but so far wd40 has done fine by providing some restriction as for this guy's videos if he would buy some basic modern tools i'd feel better
coffee filters omg
What other flavors does the carb putty come in?
what a clown you are. how miserable life you have to have the time to make these silly videos !!!
I tried this on my Honda but it did not run that good. Maybe I was using the wrong tools
this was hilarious. my baby brother who has no knowledge of automotive or any technical know how of combustion motors is watching this with me and insists that its real. i'm laughing the whole time and he's over here trying to convince me this is real. Great video man!
did it to my Kawasaki gs 1100 and it runs amazing!
it certainly looks as if the pod filter rubber didnt cover the air inlets all the rejetting is superfluous.
Dude…….. buy a new screwdriver
Dude !, get some decent tools, especially a drill of the 21st century?, my god, i hope you don,t work in a bike shop
yeah the last touch w the white paper filter !!! ))))) cool ending to the great video
i need to ship my carb from a 81 gs650 to been rejected and the pods to be rejected to my carb got and address
really !!!!! and you use "those tools " on other peoples bikes ??? really ?
"there is no way! i say no way you can drill a hole squarely with that hand drill ? especially when drilling alloy on a carb for jets and drilling slides for stage tuning jets etc
dude you in the wrong business, try demolition or the circus , its people like you that give auto svc techs a bad name ?
"ha !!!, you belong in the circus man!! honestly "
That was legitness, BADASS! Good work man, really good work!!
Great tutorial ! I didn't dare work on my motorcycle 'till I started watching your videos. Your clear step by step instructions give me the confidence I need. Ichiban Moto is
Number One !!
I honestly can't watch these in one sitting. The waves of thunderous belly laughter begin to feel a bit life threatening, so I go off and do something that seems important for a bit before settling in for the final raucous hee haw fiesta.
