I will have to save some pennies and look into these, My bike is so quite though so might mean i then don`t hear it at all.. 😛 lol.
Real bikers have multiple personnel injury claims, deaf in both ears and have bad eyes due to countless fly impacts.
its nice of them to include the ear lube, but unfortunately i already have my own ear lube… for stuff dont ask
Interesting to make something like that for the mic.
Works better then a deadcat i guess.
Great video. They look brilliant
I've found earplugs to be vital when on tour, where you are on the bike all day every day.
I use earplugs everyday, I actually like the fact that the foam ones block all sound. I can hear people speak etc well enough since ive been using them so long im used to it. My bike is just too loud and I refuse to put the baffle back in!
I've never used earplugs and never had a problem with noise while riding. Maybe I would if I was racing, but for normal road riding I don't see the point.
Callum from the English Shooting YouTube channel did a video on the shooting versions and did a video on custom moulding and all!
My CBT was successful Spicy, woooooooooo
The burning question is if you have hairy inner ears , and they take a cast is it like being waxed when they remove the moulding gunk stuff ? I don't have hairy ears im just asking for a friend? ;-]
i think these would be good for people who hate sticking things into their earholes vecause these just sit in your ear right?
Tried some foam ones, didn't hear a word of this video.
l couple months ago i went and got myself a pair of surefire EP7 Sonic Defenders earplugs, and just like the ones tried do dampen most noise but let you hear whats going on around you. the surefire makes these for shooting ranges but you can use them for any loud enviroment to protect against hearing loss and to top it all off they are only about 20$ with memory foam tips
Great video and you answered my questions. Will see if they have an outlet in Ireland
Could'a done with some of these when i rode back from Loomies…my ears were buzzing for hours afterwards! Was pretty grim >_<
Btw, just pm'd you. Nowt important mate – B
Standard foam earplugs and the Silicone Putty earplugs reduce low frequency noise a little and high frequency noise (the ones which cause most hearing damage) a lot. You can make your own plugs cheaply (see ebay) however the custom plugs are better but they're so expensive…
Stopped watching shortly the one minute mark when it it became apparent that this would be a shill video for a company that makes effing earplugs.
I often wear my earphones with the rubber tips, they block out the wind noise while still being able to hear people talk and traffic. The bonus is i use it as a intercom when riding with the other half or I can just have some quiet music on to keep me awake on long journeys
I threw mine away as they kept falling out of my ears, even after going back to the shop to be resized… Got so annoyed with them… £100 down the drain but not bothering to contact them again…
Glad they work for you though! 🙂 Nice video as always…
I had some of these myself a few months back…I think they are great!
Unfortunately I have to use them every time I get on the bike as I have terrible tinnitus, when I first got the Z800 it got considerably worse, The brand I use are quite high quality I gather so I hear the right things. Other than that I get to enjoy a concert of dead frequencies every time I try and go to sleep lol
Think I'll stick to my cheap foam ones. They definitely don't block out all the sound can still hear engine and sirens etc as well as people talking to me. Anything at the price of these custom ones are a joke. Foam over these any day for myself.
I use these ear plugs called "motosafe" – made for motorcycles. They have swappable deadeners in the center. I love them. I only use on highways/motorways too.
£97 seems steep for less hassle tbh. But i guess some people will pay for it.
I use foam earplugs on every ride… like EVERY time. I buy a big box of a few hundred. and it takes me a year or two to go through it. I'll check these out!
