Matt great video; Sportsters are one if not the most reliable bikes you can buy. It's also the most affordable bikes to own and maintain with endless customizable options making it a great value bike regardless if it's your first HD or an addition to your collections.
Its a work of art
Harleys in its own class , I have no need going after a knock off look a like bike , for the look and sound , it's Harleys only . My first three bikes were and are sport bikes , one of the bad things about that is fuel capacity on long trips is no good . Value drops quick and that money won't be seen again . It's a different story with a harley, part , mods and the price over time can go up .
I'm still not sure on the Indian scout , the rear fender reminds me of a v star and the handle bars are funky , is have to go with drag bars and a modified rear fender . I seen a video of one converted to a cafe racer , that was bad
Man one of the smallest bikes in the line up but looks as good as the other bikes. Actually i love the look of the sportsters especially the iron. The peanut tank is also my favorite look out of all the tanks. Reminds me of when i was a kid again when i look at this bike. I've been pushing my daughter to buy one for a year now, if she don't soon get her ass in to the dealership i'll have to do it for her.
Lmao wasn't sure if you were going to ride it or not, you must have been a little cramped after that ride.
Beautiful bike!
I demoed the Iron, the 48, The 1200 Custom, the Roadster, and the XG750A Street Rod at the same time, and I found that even though it was cramped, the Street Rod was way more fun to ride than the Sportsters in terms of maneuverability, and responsiveness of the motor. If I twisted the throttle while sitting, the motor on the Street Rod was much more willing to rev and responsive. Kind of expensive for the horsepower, torque? Fz-09, Z900, etc also less than $10,000. Although I do like the torquey low end grunt and sound you mention. I like the bike but just very expensive for what it is. And it is heavy. Correct? The most comfortable was the 1200 Custom. Good and helpful review.
One of my favourite HD bikes, like the style very much. I only dislike the very visible cabling. Adding the usual harley tax for proper sound, the bike is quite expensive.
Matt, what was all that crap, when you removed the gas cap?
Love this video Matt, awesome info as per the norm for your videos and as a guy of 5’8” it was good to see how the bike looks with a shorter guy on it. Also the shots of it on the highway from the other bike was a good touch. Keep these videos coming
I find the Iron 883 esthetically beautiful. I just wish they would make a version for us bigger guys. I ended up going with the street bob….now if I could just get some forward controls.
Come on man, talk like a real biker..you sound like talkin’ to a six year old girl lol
um, not to be downing the quality of H-D … but, why is there rust under the gasoline cap?
wont be able to sell bikes that way. Definitely needs a new gas tank, without charging the customer for it.
ahahaha , the bearing squalled when it got revved .
still a good lookin bike!
awsome vlog !!
My first Harley was a 2009 883 Iron.
Damn, this review is flawless!
I’ve a 14 iron 883N FP3 VH shorts.., love it and think it’s finished better than newer irons
Why is every iron nomatter how new have corrosion in the gas tank?
Matt, it is always good to see a Sportster on your reviews. I ride a 1200XL because I am disabled, later in time I will just have it in my collection when I strengthen, but as a stepping stone to recovery they are amazing tools. Truly iconic and something to never get rid of, I have a box of Sporty parts I may need another one to dress up. Thanks again.
At 4:50, what is that under the gas cap? Rust? Tarnish?
I like the look of the iorn An the 48. Since it’s not ideal for long trips, what are some other bikes that has simlar looks, An have that long duration riding where you don’t have to keep stoping to fill up.
I recently purchased a 2007 Honda Shadow 600 VLX for $2200. Bike has 7,500 miles on it, and it was rejetted to accommodate the shotgun exhaust. Give me some examples or reasoning as to why I should trade up to a Harley. Or would you just keep it and ride the damn thing?
