They didn't have radial fins in 1969. Sorry. Maybe it has a head from circa 1972-4.
@RickfromLafayette Sorry to disagree but the 1969 Cross Country came with the radial fin head as seen here. Simi Valley Cycles has one for sale right now on their website for $1000 (as of 12/8/2011) you might want to check out.
Ray,. I tried to get that Sachs up to the top of the matterhorn more than a few times. But that doesn't mean I made it to the top! I had better luck on my Husky 360! Those were the days!
Hello Mr.stiel I have a Sachs 125 crosscountry sitting in my garage..it just sitting here and it's all complete and the previous owner said it was running before it was put away 20 years ago in a barn.i live in Los Angeles if interested please reply back.thanks!
As I had the same bike in 1971(new) A step-up from my B/S( Bridgestone) .That year I came in 8th over all in a cross country race in E.WA. & that was open class, 250 & up THANKS! (wish I still had it)
This bike brings back some fond MX memories. I also remember when they changed to DKW. Then the Pentons came out. All great bikes with Sachs engines.
wow, clip was nice and your pic from 71st on the same bike, just amazing ! best wishes !
