GREAT JOB–BEST SOUND ON TWO WHEELS
very skilled man,well done
Hi Nick, Pretty amazing bike! Question, how did you deal with synchronizing the two engines in terms of crank rotation. Do they hit top dead center together? Or do you have some number of degrees of separation between the two cranks? How about the vibration? With two engines, is one set to 'counter-balance' the other to reduce the vibrations? I think 180 degrees difference would do that, assuming the cranks are stock 360 deg types. Thanks again, cool video!
Speedometer isn't working.
That is amazing. You did a fantastic job and it looks so right.
The extra engine surprisingly takes up less room than thought. 475 lbs. for 1500 cc's stands unheard-of-ling amazing. The wheelbase & framework length, seems to be nearly the same as a stock Bonnie, even with the extended rake. Well done in all aspects… especially given the year it was accomplished. Admiration galore Nick, from an old Texas boy whose straddled a 68 Trophy Sports since i bought it 2nd hand for a $ a cc while stationed in the 82nd back in 72. Had it restored by Big D cycle in time for my 60th circuit round the Sun in 2012.
They were whittlin on a Brough, a Vincent, The Sam Wheeler Norton Restoration, and by Goshen, an Ariel Square as well. Great people ever one… reckon one might say…. kinda 1st, & 2nd Generation Inheritors of Jack Wilson's knowledge. Was a blessin to have em fulfill my dream of ridin till for whatever reason i might have to cease. Thank's to all involved's ears, for mine shore welcomed what y'all had to say. -gilpin 3-4-16
Gorgeous! The proportions though hardly sort and spikey still look good. The engineering looks simply excellent, the cases on the left hand side are lovely. It is probably a joy to ride after any H-D: less weight and lots more grunt. Thank you for showing us.
Beautiful job; some of these twin engined bikes can really look like something made in a back street garage but this one looks almost as elegant as the original and certainly has huge visual impact; front down tube my only reservation. Curious about the transmission though- is it running two triplex primary's to the single Triumph clutch and transmission? What about firing interval? Brilliant job though, well done!
that front engine has to hate life constantly sucking in hot air and that rear one must be running so damn hot.
really nice work.
next project……………. twin Triumph Rocket 3 engines mounted in tandem.
475 lbs? Yeah, right…..
5.12.15. A job of workmanship of the first order!….Too Radd,Dadd! ?
a little more heat to the knees
Nice! 120hp Triumph Twin motor, I would love to see that in a Dyno..
This build is pretty epic….!
Cool for sure! I wonder what torque figures are!
I like when people mash together two engines, but I don't think the gain would make it anywhere near as good as an actual 4cyl with the same displacement. Anyway good job on actually making it, plus the engine looks solid… for a triumph..
Major kudos to the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Of course he could of just bought a more powerful bike, but at least this way he has the only one in the world.
