WOW VINCENT!!SOUNDS BRILL!!!
kin brilliant
It does sound good, you ought to try racing it for 10 years like i did. I am the passenger and that was taken at Baitings Dam Hillclimb (near Halifax). I think it was taken in about 1993. it made my day seeing it, Thanks 72degrees
What incredible machines those Vincents were. Always my dream bike (since 1963…age 13). Great sound, brutal bike…..a real machine
Definitely 1992, I we did not start racing the Vin till October 1989. The bike was pretty standard back then.
Anyone remember a bike called a 'Benthor Bonneville'? A Bonnie obviously, but have been trying to track this one down for years. Last seen at Baitings many years ago. Seem to remember it was silver with red pinstriping. Maybe also saw it at Esholt sprint, Bradford. May not have competed but the build quality and paint job were superb. Could have been 70s onwards…
Also have a few stills of Baitings over the years – and Esholt. Excellent vid BTW!
NICE SOUND GOOD CONTROLL !!!
makes my hair stand on end, sounds stunning
Great pictures.
ese sonido mata !!!
Nice vid – why isn't Baitings Dam use for hilclimbs any more?
The Water Authority that own the dam and access road stopped them on Health & Safety grounds as far as I know. Still plenty of other speed hill climbs running in the UK and even one or two new hills recently. Google "National Hill Climb Association".
That thing sounds GREAT!
I remember that Benthor Bonneville was it a 1 off private bike?.I rode at Esholt sprint with a Triumph thunderbird in the early 70s.Then in 77 I think it was on a brand new Honda GL 1000 goldwing. I came up against a Rickman Kwak in the knock out and he just pipped me on the line,Also saw George Brown there on super nero that thing could shift a bit when he went over that hill you could have heared a pin drop great times
It was indeed. A very well finished machine. the quality stood out.
IS THIS "SIDE CAR 31" AS ITS THERE STYLE
