For a long time i wanted a harley, was just about to buy a fat bob, then started doing some research, wow, people that buy and rave about harleys need to wake up,why buy a bike that uses out dated engine designs that will and do fail. I want power handling and reliability, VICTORY have this covered .Well done to the VICTORY MOTORCYCLE TEAM.
Isn't the Vision like 870lbs? That's about the same weight as a Road King.
ok i'm sold…just need somebody to tell me if its possible to get a 250 rear on the highball without any other mod ..
I love it!
Lol, no matter what you think of the brand war etc, this bloke nails the sales pitch 100%. Needs to take his sales trophy and have a vacation!
I have several friends who have owned Harley bikes and have since moved to Victory. Harley Davidson make pretty bikes and I would love to own one… but I have a Kingpin Deluxe that looks as good as any Harley and it is far more dependable. My friends who own Victory motorcycles are very happy and have had no problems other than replacing the belts at high miles.
I just bought a Victory Jackpot and I live for it. Ive owned about 27 bikes and this is my Favorite. Victory's catch phrase is true, "ride one and you'll own one"
Wish my vegas had that much lean angle
This is amazing. I just subscribed.
I've owned a harley and two Jap sport bikes, grew up around and on harleys. All my buddies want or have one. I personally don't really care for the looks of one. They have 2 bikes I like out of all their models, and even then I can find too many cons to it to ever buy one. This guy sure as hell knows how to sell a product too. The 8 ball hammer is a good lookin bike and I know a few people with the vegas, jackpot, and highball and they all have nothing bad to say. Over all I think I'd go with a victory, I'd rather have an updated fresh design than one where heritage, name, and tradition hold it back. I don't care so much about brand names, if you make a good product, I'll take yours.
Impressive lean angle – how much is it laden, though?
That is crazy very impressive
That is crazy very impressive
Having owned both an HD and VIctory, I can speak from both sides. Both have lots to offer. Your Harley breaks down, there are shops and parts everywhere. Snap a throttle cable on a Victory, no stores everywhere and parts can take awhile.
With that said, the current models of Victory out perform Harleys. Harley has had to up their game, and they have. Their newest bikes and CVO are great, but still fall short.
The owners benefit from Harley having some competition and it pushes everyone to make a better product.
Wow short and to the point, KICK ASS ADVERTISEMENT, I loved it , and IM SOLD! Thank you, Jonathan
Hey Polaris is kicking butt here.
Harley didn't have the balls to purchase Indian.
Look what Polaris has done in 24 months with the Indians!
First run production bikes are flying out the door.
Harleys are being traded in.
Victory's are doing great as well.
Sorry but Harleys are old school.
I just watched the 5 segments and never knew all this stuff about Vics. I bought one in 2006, a 2000 SC as a vtwin experiment having been riding a "rocket" since 2000. I almost bought a new HD dyna sport for $12k and got a deal on the SC for less than half. Although the resale value is poor on the bike I bought it to ride, not to look cool sitting on it. With saddlebags and a huge saddle that looks like it came off a horse it makes for a good ride from the ocean to the gulf. As for HP , I was told by the former owner it has 90hp but I don't know, It will go 70 @ 3k rpm and easily take off from 86mph. With the mini winshield I can ride @ 100 easily.like an overweight NINJA and the brembo brakes work well. While it uses 5-6 q on an oil refill the chore is very easy as the filter is in the rear and filters can be bought @ walmart for about $6. Also changing tires is pretty easy on the rear As I can use a crotch rocket stand to lift up the rear of the bike,
Hey Mike, just wondering can Abs be added on to a Victory 8 Ball model? I really like the Victory Cross Roads 8 ball but I'm slightly disappointed it doesn't come with ABS Brakes. I understand the 8 ball models are stripped down which translates to No Abs And No cruise control AND are also Blacked Out (no chrome) which is why I am leaning towards this specific model.
shit i want a vision. you can have my breakout back.
Would you recommend something like this, or the Cross country to a first time rider?
A fabulous demonstration, no if's or but's,… just truth in the form. Victory is fast becoming a U.S icon. And rightly so.
A lot of what he said is true in all these segments. Victory has good technology but OMG i have not seen a good looking bike from them. They are ugly. And motorcycles are (specially in the US) recreational vehicles so emphasis on looks will be high and HD offers that (HD has some of the most beautiful machines). Just think about the Volvo effect, who drives those things? People with all priority on safety and none on looks. Who will buy a motorcycle based on that?
Great demo. Maybe you could implement the average female rider to accomplish the same task? And maybe a smaller frame male? That would be great thank you!
Now that was a wonderful comparison, and demonstration. I love the look of the Victory, but still have a sense of brand wanna be with Victory. I would never compare a Victory with a Harley, BMW or Yamaha since they are all VERY different bikes. They are all unique, it's try them all and pick the one that suits your wants and needs best.
Hell Yeah! MERKA! Now thats a video!
Now that's how u sell a bike! Throw it on the floor! (and im not even kidding)
These Victory segments are a real eye opener. I love the attention to detail of the engineering. The Vision is quite the motorcycle!
This type of bike is not my cup of tea.
But that was an impressive sales pitch that would have anyone thinking twice.
shut up and take my money Victory
Victory bikes are way sweeter looking then a Harley. The Kingpin is the best looking bike ever made.
Actually, I just picked up a GoldWing while it was laying on is floorboards about a week ago. I'm not very big or strong, 5'9 and 155lbs. And i found it extremely easy to pick up and was quite shocked. I'm still not a fan of those things still. Neither of this Vision either.
Man you're strong!
Was having a difficult time deciding between a wide glide or 8ball. Sold on Victory
Can't take no more,I'm buying a victory!!!!….. Oh yea I forgot- Harley=lol
i think its all subjective… maybe the mechanical aspects are true about the way the engines were designed but i have no problem taking my harley out every day as a day to day rider and i have a 60 mile commute both ways. the only time i check oil and stufff is sunday when i do all my checks. making a big fuss over nothing
is that the camera man laughing when he says that the bike is light and nimble. right before he picks the bike up
Very nice. That is handy.
Dam if i try to get off my bike and its only a 400 honda i will on the ground with the bike on top of me
All that proves is victory makes a dam good kickstand.
someone explain how a bike listed with a GVWR at 1400 lbs is light?
Nike is now used lol right after he dropped that hope who bought it called that out and get s big discount lol
Idk in the wind is the wind. I've owned Harleys and I've owned jappers. Looking for a American alternative and victory might be the answer. I will always love Harley as they have been the backdrop for some of the epic times of my life. But I am tired of wrenching, and just wanna ride. looking at the gunner n highball models.
On a side note, the new Indian 111 thunderstroke, A Polaris inspired motor also looks promising, where dependability is concerned. But what blue coller stiff can talk the bank into financing a 19,000$ toy that's for the cheapest in the chief lineup ? The Darkhorse.
That's cool and all, but it still looks like a spaceship.
Thanks for the video. Lot of information I never knew between the two brands, especially Victory motorcycles. But I see the Harley like a 1911, both have been around quite a while and proven designs…back many years ago. But, today's technology is just so much better. A Harley is what you show your friends in your garage, A Victory is what you ride with your friends, A 1911 looks all cool and you show your friends, but a Glock 30 is what you use for every day carry, not the 1911. But in the end it's all about personal choice.
I dumped my dyna once and got it back up with no problems.
