I used to use RAINX on a regular basis until changes made it unsuitable for use on plastic helmet visors! Now RAINX have introduced their new RAINX plastic water repellent!

  • I use G-Techniq EXO on my lid and visor. It's not cheap, but I use it on my car to. I highly recommend it.

  • I've used Rainx for years on glass, and been happy with it. For plastic, "Plexus" aircraft plastic protectant and polish is very good. Perhaps a head to head test is in order?

  • I was questioning in my mind why there was a video available today and not on Friday but you answered my question right off the bat.  I love it, keep it up!

  • I use the rainx on my visor, not the new version, the old version, nothing wrong with it. Got it from Amazon, works fine.

  • Hi Stuart – interesting video – thanks.  I am currently using "Raincoat" (on Sportsbikeshop.co.uk) which is even more expensive than the RainX plastic.  Seems to work pretty well though.

  • Aye up Stuart , two videos in one week , steady lad , see thee . Phil D .

  • Hi Stuart, interesting video as usual Sir.  A quick question if I may,  a (good) few years ago,  there was a bit of a 'to-do'  with Rainx, originally it was made in the USA apparently, and they started making it (under licence??) in the UK, and I remember in the car trade they were saying it was inferior by comparison to the original product. Did you notice any difference between the two? In addition, with the new plastic product, did they say if it was 'safe' on these 'anti-fog' coatings many helmet manufacturers seem to be using these days?  Of course you could always use it on the windscreen of your luxury yacht…..

  • Hi Stuart good vid as usual I have a bottle of this for glass and have never used it , I must give it a go I tend to wax the side windows and mirrors on my car this appears to have the same affect but does not last . I'm looking forward to seeing your next vid as I have a thruxton r and I'm wondering if there the same air filter set up

  • I remember using Bob Heath Visor rain disperser. Good video Stuart 👍🏻

  • Nice Video. But what about having a young prettty nubile female passenger simply wipe the rain away as you ride ? haha J/K

By the way Stuart, still waiting for you to get your hands on a 1968-1970 Bonnie to do a complete and total comparision between it and your new modern Bonnie …

Oh interesting experience on a Group Ride I did with a local MC Club (here in Maryland USA). The group stopped along the side of the road during the ride next to a large orchard of Apple trees somewhere in PA. We proceeded into the grove and went to pick a few apples and the trees got angry that we were pulling their fruit from their branches. They started cursing us and trying to reach out with their branches to wack us. At that point we all retreated back to our bikes and shouted at them that their apples were full of green worms which made them angrier at which point they started to throw their apples at us. We goaded them on and ended up with quite a few delicious sweet apples to snack on. haha

Later, be safe and Remember What The Doormouse Said …  😉
