Triumph Hardtail: Custom motor mounts
Quick fabrication of some rear motor mounts. Next step is a chain tensioner if we need on and figuring out a solution to hide the electronics.

I love when I can click "like" on a video before I even watch it.
The whole mount kit kinda looks like crap. If your going to fab your own mount trash the ones you have and make nice looking / functioning ones…
The oil tank is a Great idea. Keep up the good work!
Great video! My next project is also a triumph bobber and these videos are really getting me stoked to start, plus you have some great ideas for hiding your electronics that iay just have to try.
That last mounting point you're thinking of chopping off might be vital to maintaining the rigidity of the whole engine + frame setup. You'll notice that it's the only point where the motor bolts onto the "spine" of the frame. All the other mounting points are along the left and right edges of the frame. I get the impression that without the mounting point to the frame's spine, you'll get a lot of torsional movement of the motor while riding. I might be wrong though. Keep up the good work. I always look forward to your vids.👍
Maybe you can do the electronic under the tank nice video by the way love this channel to watch
Perfect video to eat a sandwich to
Love the build so far
Been really mulling over these mounts and I agree with some of these comments. I think I can do better. I can modify them to work with that factory down tube. Stay tuned for what I come up with!
Make a box for the antigravity battery to go between the back bone and the cross brace for the hardtail, so it lays down parallel with the ground but not so low it catches anything on the road. The remaining electronics can go in the dead space between the frame and lower halves of the gas tank. You can also but an ignition kill switch/key there and the switch for your highbeam.
Build is looking great so far. +1 on the oil tank battery box and you could possibly mount it to the old swingarm mount.
This build has convinced me that hardtail bobbers are, in fact, rad as hell. Loving this. I think you should find a way to hide the electronics up under the tank. Check out this shop's work: http://www.helrichcustomcycles.com/index.php/streetfighter-series/71-streetfighter – I love how they have the ignition switch coming out behind the stem. Oil tank idea is nice, but I feel it's a bit dishonest, aha, and it would great to keep that area empty like you said. Keep up the great content man, you run a fantastic channel.
Really dig the Triumph, should pick-up a classic gs or a cb750 next!
Great build. Like the oil tank idea.
I'm always stoked when you drop a new video. solid work as always, man!
Just found your channel. It's awesome!! I just moved to Texas and have been looking to see who does motovlogs and build bike. You have a cool channel hopefully one day we meet up
I think these OIF hardtails look really good with nothing in the space and an old ammo box down The bottom of the hardtail for all your electronics
Really liking this build!
After watching this though my only thought is that it would be nice for some new music on the time lapses!
