He does look a bit tired, but don't we all sometimes? But wen I see him, I see the petrol head, my opinion is, he became such a good t.v. host only because he needed to in order to afford all his rides… I don't think he misses the show, now he got more time to go cruising around and money enough to buy his dreams… =D
I don't think he became a show host to get rich and afford cars. The show is a passion for him. I read his book and it seems has never been hurting for money. He always had a job of some kind and never was desperate for cash.
He doesn't want to lose the show. If it were just about money, he would have quit years ago.
WATT..HE DIED DAYS AGO… MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE IN HEAVEN .. AMEN
yeah, I think you're right… =)
Trust me, Jay lives for his show. He also doesn't like being pushed out when he is #1 in the ratings. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Notice how quickly he went back to the Tonight Show when they offered it to him.
wasnt the vincent a british bike?
Yup
What a great bike. Thank you Sid…thanks Jay.
My favourite part is where he cuts back a few years, and is wearing EXACTLY the same stuff!. Fantastic video.
RIP
Can I find vincents with Big Sid at my local library now? I wonder
Nice, another dumbass makes a moronic comment pretending to actually know something smart, and then wraps it up with a condolence to Sid… If you look at the date this was put out (June 25th) and the day Sid died (June 22nd) you will see exactly what Jay said is true. He did not say he died "today" he said "this week". If you find an old newspaper do you believe the paper is somehow going to have today's news in it? No…you would not. So why would you think it's any different on Youtube?
RIP Big Sid. Think about Big Sid wanting to give up after his heart attack in 2001, getting new enthusiam for life through this project with his son, and he lived another 12 years. Quite a story.
Makes you realise you have enjoy life whilst you have it.
I wont miss a ride these days. Bring it on !!!
Are you the guy at the viewing arguing with the visitors?
Love the Shadow…RIP Sid…ride on,,,
Who the fuck are you to insult me like that? Another moron on the internet spewing shit. Show some respect.
I like that i`m named after a motorcycle :)
Way to go Jay. Thank you for sharing this and preserving our automotive / motorcycle history.
I just finished Matts' book and I have to say it was a wonderful read. Sid was a legend to be sure but it was great to read how their relationship grew while building this bike. We have lost another great man! Jay is a class act for posting this!
Great man and great bikes !
RIP.
Thanks for posting this video.
Thanks for a fitting tribute.
lol
R.I.P. Sid
great story!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Jay walked into our shop, maybe 30 years ago or a little earlier. Jay did not talk to Sid as he was busy, but he talked to me for a few minutes. I thought I recognized him, but wasn't sure who he was until I saw him on a commercial that evening. Other notables stopped by our shop such as Steve McQueen and Judith "Georgie Girl" Durham, who was lost along with her husband, and were asking us for directions as they passed through town.
Team Biberman built one beautiful machine. Big Sid left his mark with a work of mechanical art.
lovely bike…
Very cool!
fantastic bike
RIP sid.
What a great story! Nice, respectful tribute! And as always, Jay furthers my education!
What a great tribute. I got a tear in my eye thinking about the loss of Big Sid, and the brotherhood of motorheads – the hybrid bike he and his son built is amazing. Jay's passion and knowledge are both impressive. Very cool to see the road test…
Vincoty, Fantastic!
My question is has anyone ever heard of an Vindian?
It was a mix of an Indian Chief and a Vincent drive train.
.
It's sad when we lose someone that could meld 2 totally different bike into 1
.
Me I'm looking to put a Mazda RX7 Rotory in my 1984 Gold Wing, but that's just me.I had a 1976 Suzuki Rotary engined bike.
It was un-Godly fast motorcycle. After buying it in the 1980s, with brand new tires on her I took her down the Pa Turnpike, in 3RD her front would lift up while doing 135 miles an hour(in 3RD gear, the bike had a 6 speed trany. I never needed those top 2 Gears!
Even more fun drop a Diesel motor in her!
OMG! Look how young Jay looks!
