I just have to give a nod to Jason Altenburg, general manager of Appleton Harley Davidson in Clarksville, TN for making this happen:

About the bike, this is the 2017 Road Glide Special aka FLTRX. The Milwaukee 8 hauls this bike around like it weighed very little. Overall, I was very impressed with the bike.
So, settle in and enjoy the show! Feel free to comment and ask questions.

road glide fairings is not for me
Re: aka FLTRX
Don't you mean FLTRAXS
Was that a 12" windsplitter windshield? How was it for helmet buffeting? Good review, thanks.
Road Glides came back out in 2015.
Part of the reason it handles so differently is the fairing. You have to remember that the weight of the fairing is on the bars, so when you turn the bars you have all that weight turning, too. On the shark nose, it's chassis mounted, so the bars move independent of the fairing. So it's going to feel 'lighter' on the road glide over the street glide.
I never road the roadglide…I just dont like the fairing..reminds me of the goldwing fairing, next? a drive shaft?
what state were you in
This was by far one of the most detailed, comprehensive, thorough reviews of this bike I've seen. Subscribed!! Thanks keep up the great content!!
I've been deciding between the road glide, street glide, or another road king. …I am almost certainly going with the road glide to help with the Wyoming wind.. This was a very good review; thank you for your time in creating this content.
If you like listening to music the Rg is useless at 60 mph plus
Why Harley wont go to a gear driven cam is beyond comprehension. Looks like buyers of this will be looking towards S&S for a gear drive fix, just like for the twin cam.
great video was favouring the streetglide more so for its looks, but after this giving me food for thought.cheers
Thanks for the video.
The only thing I don't care for on the M8 engine, is the PLASTIC, cam chain tensioner on the single roller chain drive. It's a wear item and has to be periodically replaced or crater the engine. H-D, should have used a Metal Gear for the cam operation, like the EVO motor had.
I also don't like the pressed together crankshaft. Wish it was bolted together like the older single cam, EVO, engines were bolted together. Should the crankshaft come out of true, it can crater the engine.
I don't care for the partial liquid cooling. The M8 must run hot, as in heat output to have to cool the exhaust ports. Wish it were a true air cooled bike, like the EVO motors.
EVO, were the best engines, H-D, ever made……..in my opinion.
Yeah, the screen disappears in the sun which is crappy. On the new Indian's, I didn't seem to have that problem at all.
I think you have made a really nice review but you need a new microphone, sir. It's hard to understand you.
Anthony, thanks for taking the time to make a video. Well done.
Hey question about the hydraulic clutch. I have the ultra limited 2017 and it seems like my friction zone is almost all the way out . Is that the same for your bike ?
I've been wanting a road glide for a while but I'm on kind of a small frame. I'm 6 ft and 160 lbs. I'm an experienced rider but should I stay away from something this heavy?
The street glide steers from the wind at high speeds. Over 120 there is a nice sine wave headshake. Not terrible but I'm guessing the Road Glide doesn't have it at all.
