Norton rally at Morpeth
All roads lead to Morpeth this weekend for fans of a classic British motorcycle.
The Northumberland market town is playing host to the 2013 national rally of the Norton Owners Club.
Enthusiasts from all over the country are gathering for three days of showing off their bikes, swapping restoration stories and riding scenic routes.
The event, at Morpeth Rugby Club, Mitford Road, is organised by the Northumbria branch of the owners’ club.
The Norton Motorcycle Company was established in 1898 and has had a long and chequered history, including 15 years in American ownership.
Today it is back in British hands and still turning out great bikes from its Midlands headquarters in Donington.
