Nike Missile Base; Waukesha, WI

Launcher Area of the former missile base: Underground missile magazines are supposedly still there, located under concrete slabs and wood chip piles.

Nike Missile Base M-74 in Waukesha, WI was one of eight missile sites designed to protect Milwaukee, Wisconsin from enemy aerial attack during the Cold War. The missile base was active from 1956 – 1971.
