@zuzulo56 disk brakes save lives!
@zuzulo56 the only reason l say this is l lost three brothers at vincents drum brake test track.
Great sounding bike,miles better than the Japanese buzz boxes.
When Charlie Newlands of Luton went from the Matchless frame to the Seeley frame, he just flew off the grid, no matter where he qualified.
There is more than one holy grail eh
Wonderfull bike !
New bikes are "better" in many ways, better handling, braking, faster, more reliable…
I would choose this over ANY new bike. At the end of the day it's about the experience and this experience is more pure.
The sound of mechanical purity…
Nothing better than an open megaphone, build in thin metal, with a short exit, revving up, so close to the boot… Sensations!
I would eat each bolt a new bike for a ride in one of these
LOVE IT
wonder why motorcycle manufacturers don't replicate vintage motorcycles? you know, make a modern version? create the same style bike for those of us who like em' but don't have the time, money, patience or know how to restore one.
A lovely bike and like most of us I've never owned or ridden one, but I always preferred their look over the Manx.
that's a g50 in a manx frame….so technically it's a matchless/norton,,,,,
Steep head angle, I wonder if it was modified for quicker steering?
beautiful bike, shame about the mr porky trying to ride it ,
When I was a kid, Cycle World magazine sold albums of nothing but racing motorcycle engines in full combat: Norton Manxes, Honda fours and sixes, you name it. I lusted for these albums but never had the money to buy them. Thanks to the Internet and Youtube, I now can hear all those ancient engines in their full sonic glory.
