Making the xs650 Boardtracker tank from scratch!
Tons of hours involved, but here’s the quick version…
fabrication of fuel tank required template creation, mockup, sheet metal cutting with both plasma cutter and beverly shear, metal brake to bend up flanges, and shrinking and stretching to match the curve of our frame. Finally welded together with the tig welder using silicon bronze rod, then sanded smooth and pressure tested.
Music by my nephew Austin.

Hey Chris, I really enjoyed your videos on this build. If you don't mind me asking what setup are your using as a mill? Also, are you using all or mostly chinese equipment? I ask because I'm looking at getting a chinese tig welder and plasma cutter. Thanks!
