I had a69 just like it in high school (71)exept I had bates pipes .I could hit 2nd slid back on the seat add keep the front wheel about 12-15 of the ground till about 75mph

too bad they sound exactly like the early 750 tridents.. wish they could have made a difference in the sound
I had a '69 back in 1970. It was the best handling bike I ever rode. It save me from some foolish maneuvers I tried like my Han slipping off the bars while doing a wheelie. I would love to have one now. I put higher handle bars on, megaphone pipes and a sissy bar on after I almost lost my sister over the back. ( I caught her ankles with my elbows.)
you just got to love the rocket 3 its as atractive as most of the bikes 2 day if not way more i would get 1 in any nick with half a chance
I had a '69..it had the most comfortable stock seat I've ever sat on – and that was a '69, before they put much thought and design into stuff like that..
Love that bike, had one just like it back in 1981-2
