I miss the old limey iron. When they would work right they were far better than anything. Owning one was like having a relationship with a beautiful, high maintenance woman.
i hate you forever for owning such a beautiful piece of machinery. :'(
no joke, the sounds of those JAP and Matchless engines send shivers up my spine every time. what i wouldn't give for a bike running those old 990cc's.
pure. class.
I was me riding it in the video, but unfortunatly the bike doesn't belong to me, although I did do quite a lot of the rebuild work on it…..So anyway, you don't have to hate me 😉
id rather have a brough superior than a vincent!
These bikes were my great uncle's choice that he used to set the land speed record with back in 1938 – Eric Fernihough.
@CaneFu Thanks for your comment, your uncle was truly a legend.
I haven't been to the national rally yet but: I am the lucky owner of a 1936 Brough Superior!
forget Vincent! the BS is the Rolls-Royce of British motorcycles!
Motorcyclist Magazine's latest issue has a nice piece on the SS100.
