Black Motorcycle + Black Gear = Possible “Fu*ked Up Day!” | MotoVlog
Riding an all black motorcycle and wearing all black motorcycle gear provides poor visibility which increases accident risk.

you have the best motorcyle channel!
if you are gonna use all black gear. use "life spray" by Volvo. look it up
That's why I try to stay away from wearing anything black or dark.
how many miles have you put on the good ole' cbr1000rr. just curiosity, since it's your daily.
what this guy says is right, I commit that mistake and I almost got hit a lot of times, I learned about it and I have some reflective stickers on all my bike and I am planning to buy a new bike, it will be white
I totally agree. I wear a high viz jacket and bright white helmet on a non black bike.
how tall are you bro?
Walterrific should watch this video
Who is your daddie and what does he do
Cycle what is that white thing under cut windshield
I always thought dudes who wear black on a black bike just love BATMAN. They wanna be like their hero BATMAN! LoL
Most people with dark colored bikes and riding gear, have lights installed on their bikes so cars can see them at night. Especially when it's extremely dark outside.
It can help having yellows whites and greens. There are also tons of crashes with people wearing these colors. I ride defensively and aggressively at the same time and don't have an issue. I ride a blue Gsxr and black dianese suit with red accents.
So black car lovers are in danger too? C'mon bro! I know what you're trying to say, but the main problem is people aren't checking their blind spot before moving to another lane or even turning. I had a black car and now a graphite one and never had a problem. I've a black bike with black jacket with white/yellow helmet and gloves. What I'm trying to say is that whatever colour you wear… you're not safer. You have to paranoid a bit on every driver like they're dumbasses and make your own business out there.
"I tell you guys"
I use to have all black and on a pretty low seat harley and a big a*s truck couldn't see me on the HOV all most killed me. BTW that yellow camo pants helps a lot
that's why I bought my bike (08 Suzuki GSXR600)in yellow….
I barely saw a guy on a cruiser, with a black jacket and a black helmet. I saw his tail light. This was at 6 am in Queens, NY on the Cross Island, where people drive like madmen. I've seen a MC accident happen right in front of me a while ago on that road. You speak the truth, cycle cruiser!
My motorcycle is the same color as yours. I get compliments on it routinely.
I have a black motorcycle and black gear. That is why I put a bright green mohawk on my helmet xD Haha
hey @cyclecruza, how do you feel about all season riding? I watch your videos all the time and it seems like you ride in cold and warm weather. Im looking forward to getting a bike soon but should i just hold out and get a car instead?
I like hi-vis helmut yellow sparkles,,see ya 1 mile away
I am guilty of this, just got body armor & put high vis tape all over it. Ill stop wearing black when they come out with a darker color.
cars don't see bikes – hi viz don't work – make it noisy – they don't miss you if their ears are bleeding . I agree about viz at night and you can get black 3m reflective strip so you can be bad ass at day and a safety queen after dark 😊
me and my wife thought we were the only ones who thought that's a deadly combination…strange but do you notice that's the most worn color of all.. looks cool but it's not a wide choice …I where white jacket with icon bright green vest.. I need to change my fairings my cbr600rr is black and silver…
It doesn't matter what color your bike is, helmet, gear, etc. The first thing someone says when they hit a motorcyclist is "I didn't see 'em"
Most accidents happen due to the driver neglecting to pay attention to their surroundings.
The best advice I would suggest is…"Loud pipes save lives". I was in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic box in with cars (no exit) and a driver decides he wanted to get over into my lane. He never looked in his mirror or checked his blind spots he just started coming over at me. I cut the clutch hit the throttle and my bike screamed. The guy stopped making the lane change and started looking around like wtf is that and where is it coming from. Then he saw me. Loud pipes won't stop all accidents but they can help.
lies!! we all know why you went with yellow it gives 5 extra hp
I have to admit I'm a sucker for black. All my bikes are black, all my gear is black, all my helmets are black. It was until last week when some woman side swiped me claiming she didn't see me, I'm reconsider my choice of bikes and gear now. Lucky I keep the bike up right and the only damage done was a broken bar end mirror.
I get what your saying my bike is white and red but at I usually don't wear my black helmet or jacket riding at night.
You're one of the few sensible risers on the road CycleCruza. Great video.
Another problem I see among bikers (real life and internet) is that they blame their lack of safety on other road users. Comments like "It's the drivers on their phones" or "Car drivers should look for bikes more" is totally the wrong attitude.
The only way to stay alive on the road is to take care of your own safety. NOT BLAME OTHERS.
THE RIDER must to everything they can to stay safe, this means ride defensively, be visible and wear gear. I ride like a ninja on the road, no matter how crazy other drivers are they can't hit me. They can try… but ride in a position where they can't.
Every step you take to be safe (ride style, visibility, gear) adds up to lower risk of injury. You never want to ride with all safety eggs in one basket. If one aspect fails you have a backup and if that fails you have a second backup……
I don't buy into the hi-vis gear. I've been riding for years and always have black gear and a black bike, never a problem. Even when I'm driving and I see someone on a bike I've never in my life thought damn if only that guy was wearing hi-vis I would have seen him. So in conclusion bright gear has never saved me or stopped me from hitting someone.
No matter what color you have on, if the driver not paying attention you are invisible. yellow bike with brights lights on is what my friend had when he got hit and killed. the driver said he came out of nowhere on a 2 lane road.
cyclecruza as usual dropping legit wisdom bombs
Talking about safety ….riding and talking with no hands lol
My first bike was a black Ninja 250. It was run over in a parking lot by a motorist who professed to not see it. I believed him. After that I went out and got a Candy Plasma Blue Ninja 650 and later a Roulette Green Street Triple. I don't do black motorcycles anymore. I also wear a white helmet for extra visibility. And sometimes people still don't see me.
I always thought that no matter what colors you have, if someone isn't paying attention or don't notice your lights at night you are screwed anyway.
Man, I'm not going to lie. I love black bikes. I really do. But I agree 100% with you. I have to offset that black with my beautiful high viz. yellow. I used to do the schoolbus yellow like you, and then took the plunge to high viz a couple years ago and haven't looked back! I absolutely love it.
Great video man. Perfect message.
The CHP did a 2 year study on this and all it showed was that the color didn't make any difference as to cars seeing you or not.
This is true but unfortunately was not for me, i was riding around last month on my z650 and got pulled out on by a woman no more then 20ft away from me, i had a blue bike "admittedly darkish blue" with my lights on and loud pips and still got my bike written off.
you talk about driving safely, but driving without hands? where is the security? hypocrite!
Your bike looks great dude.
