Looks like Genset
Instead of these new engines royal Enfield should work on vibrations in their bikes..
Comparison to cbr 650 or KTM 690 is wrong as those bikes have different characteristics. This engine should be compared with likes of triumph street twin which has a 900 cc engine with 54 bhp or the Harley 750 as the new Royal Enfield is not a sports machine, it's meant for relaxed and comfortable riding with reasonable speed
it shd have Diesel option also for proper range
otherwise carry cans of petrols hanging around
watch out for more from Yamaha and Kawasaki w650 variants going to hit Indian market…
Royal Enfield is making people chutiya with fake cubic capacities
Will it be reliable is the main question
IT WILLL LEAAAAK EVENTUALLY!
Arnd 5 lakhs for new 're 650 not worth there r plenty issues with the new bike it's not original it's a replica to triumph Bonneville in any terms both the exhaust pipe they look cheap outdated it's like they r looking for something to fit n they just found from old stock if I'm spending 5lakhs on bike defiantly not on 're 650
royal enfield pls make fuel metre in this bike
and coolen system is needed
I wonder when Royal Enfield will become Loyal Enfield and be loyal to their customers, instead of cheating them by boasting high about their damn machines which are just like mopeds as compaired to their Japanese competitors. Today's Enfield is a useless motorcycle having leaks, vibration, poor manufacturing quality, high price, and sound like diesel generators. The company earns profit by selling spares. Guys get ready to buy a 650 cc parallel twin generator now…..
3rd class brand, over priced outdated technology, poor sales and services, still believe that a cast iron engine better than aluminium…BS bike don't buy Royal Enfield, add few more bucks and buy compact SUV
hope that this engine don't have vibration, oil leak and many problem like classic has
Is it fuel injected or carburator?
Now elephant to whale
Very nice description of the engine! Loved it! While the price speculation by you is a bit on the higher side I guess. Great to see products for India are now getting immense help and technical support from their advanced test and R&D centres abroad for example like the Tata Hexa and RE Continental GT and its now this one. Hope this one is also a cracker just like the GT.
Hmm …Looks like my next upgrade…But don't fit ABS,make sure the vibration remain the same..I mean it must be real classic not the modern classic.
man i hoped it would be a cruiser ;(
Is it smooth or does it vibrate like all enfields
still 150kmph will be tough power to weight ratio came into picture with rider weight too 🙂
Thumbs down to air cooled :/
Wished a liquid cooled engine
Under 3.5lacs it is good but over it no one is going to buy
5 lack of that 47Ps mill???though made in India? Ok now the R3 doesn't seem overpriced at all…
Worst service center the royal enfield is providing for 350cc . Since 6 months.
that brushed aluminium finish on these RE bikes looks shit…..srsly atlest chrome or S. steel would be appreciated if not then blacken it out…that engine looks nothing premium on classic and other models…that too for the price we pay for it….
Should of been a v twin.
Nice. But here in Canada RE can't maintain their dealerships. There's little support from RE so they all seem to stop selling the product. Can't even get a test ride. They look good though, and they have that all important history so people like them. Too bad really.
47ps for a 650 and they were afraid a 750 would be too much for a beginner to handle?? Are we sure this wasn’t intended to meet A2 restrictions? If not then it’s because Euro4/Euro5 emissions and it being an air/oil cooled engine. Detuning is inevitable then. At least we know it sounds good.
