Adventure Motorcyclist Lois Pryce – Interview
Lois Pryce gave up her desk job to have an adventure on a motorcycle. In 2003 she embarked on an epic solo journey of 20,000 miles on a Yamaha XT225 from Anchorage, Alaska to Ushuaia, in Argentina – the most southerly place in South America that can be reached by road. So taken by the freewheeling adventure in 2006 Lois took off again on a Yamaha TTR250. This time her escapade took her from the UK, across the Sahara Desert, through the jungles of the Congo, culminating in Cape Town. Lois clocked up 10,000 miles.
Lois has published two amusing anecdotal books “Lois On The Loose” and “Red Tape And White Knuckles”. They tell the story of her travels in the Americas and Africa respectively.
Lois still has many two and sometimes three wheel adventures on her motorcycles. She truly captures the spirit of the adventure motorcyclist and is an inspiration.

A wise man once said (austin vince) "You always want smaller & lighter bike, not bigger & heavier when doing adventure touring" And also a good point she said is that, you want a bike that is simple that any guy in any country can fix it. Ed March prove it with his C90.
What an inspiration that woman is!!

Cool quote at 2:40. For me, every bike ride is an adventure. Nice one.
I need a larger gas tank on my XT250 and a set of panniers and I am ready! I was thinking about getting a 650 for the longer distance adventures but…what the heck. I'll take my 250! Thanks for the inspiration!
