A New Legacy: The 2015 Scout – Indian Motorcycle
Just a year after launching the Indian® Chief®, Indian Motorcycle launches the Indian® Scout™. Hear from Industrial Design Director, Greg Brew and lead designer on the Scout, Rich Christoph, on how the bike’s rich past enriched the development of the design and eventually carried this legendary name into the future Scout.

Larger tank please :)
I like this bike and I'm going to pick one up.
Great bike! Please get rid of the CHEAP PLASTIC TURN SIGNALS! There is no excuse for them. Everything on the bike is great and of high quality look but the plastic turn signals cheapen it a lot. Otherwise beautiful.
That clay model at 1:52 is so sexy! Come out with that. The way the frame of the bike frames the radiator and engine is gorgeous and the rear turn signals look so good on the fender instead of bouncing below it. Please make that bike!
I want to ride one, it's the better small bike, than this indian product of the competitor. Just want to see more custom kits on it to simplify it further, exchange the shocks, turn-signals, and blacken/pin-stripe the grey frame and cooler pieces.
God Bless You for Bringing The Indian Back
Just rode the Scout and Roadmaster at the SLC, UT Demo event. The Scout was neat but didn't rock my world. That bike would be a great starter bike for someone wanting to run around town or for short hops.
The Roadmaster, on the other hand, is amazing. I had the chance to ride the Roadmaster a few times and it is a smooth, powerful, and beautiful motorcycle. It handles like a dream and just floats on the road. We ran up the ramp and then onto I-80 for a few miles then to Sugarhouse Park for slower driving. The bike "kicks butt" going uphill and picking up speed like crazy. It was a real head turning experience. I had several folks check the bike out as we went by in formation and one guy I stopped next to rolled his window down and told me that the Roadmaster was the neatest bike he had ever seen.
The Roadmaster is a great bike and I look forward to owning one.
Please put abs on it. It's 2015 motorcycle. Abs is way better than non abs.
Great bike!!!….I will buy one!…you guys did a great job!..amazing!!….I would never have ever looked at an Indian before this one came out!..
By any chance can you guys get a hold of the Norton franchise? …Great job guys!..I see this company doing very well…
You have created a masterpiece!
Hello Team Indian, I am a proud owner of an Indian Chief Classic. I do understand the sentiments related to the new Scout, but trust me, a font single monoshock instead of a telescopic forks will much appreciate the bikes looks.
Indian , and victory will put HD out of business . The bikes they make , are good looking , and have been properly designed, with little or no flaws. Don't take my word for it , Go ride one!!
I'm glad to see that Indian is bringing the Scout Back as a Scout. The last few attempts were comical at best, at lest what they have is a Indian Scout! Now my Grandfather rode a 1920's Scout like a bat out of Hell an this one has that attitude it can be ridden as such. When I can get one trust me I'll be riding it.
this motorcycle is like a babe!!
Excellent! Love it..Great engine, Great lines
Sexy bike. Now we want an new Indian Four.
they should do modernized reproductions of the originals… I get that maybe that's what this was intended to be, but I'm not seeing it
This bike looks good, but why a so small tank? such bike need minimum a 17Liter tank to be real usable out the cities…
Do I need to put anti freeze in it???
I'm fascinated by this bike, this the only bike in my dreams after another cult-bike: the Moto Guzzi California 1400 Custom.
scout engine = great . frame = impractical . NOW get to work making a frame that can carry TWO people comfortably for 8 hours in the saddle . get to work and make a usable functional machine , for those of us who appreciate practical ergonomic design . and use a throttle Cable please . for a affordable price . the world awaits
I rode the Scout a week ago in Montreal. It was a RIDICULOUS amount of fun. Everything about the bike is great. 100 HP, 25 inch seat height, just over 60 in wheel base. Beautiful exhaust note. I simply loved it. I can't sell my Kawasaki W650 fast enough to one. As much as I love a parallel twin, this engine is just so sweet. I swear that I was laughing on the ride. The only thing that I would add to this bike is a capped nut on the exhaust hangers. Indian did a super job on this bike… hats off to you guys. I just got to get my hands on one and I'll keep it forever. Those who question its looks… wait until you see it in person, you will elbow your way through to get a closer look.
I'm proud to have had Rich as a student!
I can adapt to the teardrop gas tank……..but the exhaust pipes have GOT to go!! Vance & Hines straight pipes please!!
I'm sure it rides well but modernise way too much. It's like I'm just stuck thinking why? Idk I don't get it.
Give a crap about speed. Technology etc. my 1985 Honda has more technology than this bike. I ride a Sportster for what it is. Yes it looks and rides like an older tech bike. That's what I like about it. Like driving a classic car.
Piękny powrót do legendy.
I really want a scout. and than when i retire a chieftain. :)
Simply… Nice!
I. Love. This. Bike.
Wish I had the budget to get me one. Damn you student life…
Nice work of yours. Really. Cheers!
Love it :-)
Water-cooled engine, blah blah blah. Hey kids, cars ain't running around on wooden rims and hard rubber tires anymore either. That's the POINT of innovation – something better is available, you incorporate it. The whining over a radiator is stupid and childish.
I must confess I am not a cruiser guy. Actually I've been looking into naked bikes or even a dual purpose to replace my old Ninja 500. But since I saw the Scout for the first time at the Calgary Motorcycle show, I just fell in love with it at first sight, it is just astonishing and it felt really light when I sat on it. I booked a demo ride in the spring, I I feel comfortable on it I might buy one. It would be perfect for medium distance rides, what I do the most here, but since it's very windy down here, I could use a good windscreen on it. Guys I think you're about to make history again with the rebirth of the Indian brand.
