There's a local dealership that sells Moto Guzzi's and Triumphs. He has no Thruxton's in stock, but 4 V7's
What does that say?
The Thruxton 900 has 350ccs? WTF? No.
Haha. He looks like Chris Cornell.
pretty sure what he meant was the thruxton has 150cc's on the V7. (which is wrong incidentally. V7 is 744cc, thruxton is I believe 865cc.)
Bad review.
EB1611 is a poser. Check out his youtube profile, how to get girlfriend videos and Star Craft game subscriptions. This guy "settled" for the Thruxton over the Ducati Sport Classic and thought it would be similar. Yeah right. He might be able to afford one in his fantasies or youtube, but not in real life.
Could he have meant hp?
Reviewer reminds me a little of Chris Cornell
Great review until the last 5 seconds where he said he'd buy the other bike… LOL.
lol no a 800cc vtwin doesn't make 150 hp
the injector unit, shaped like carbs? interesting idea to get the retro look
Considering that the V7 stone is only about 300$ less than a thruxton this guy either didn't put a lot of thought into his decision or he's cheap as hell.
Fake carb box
Doesn't this bike have around 850 CC. Not 150cc like u mentions earlier
WTF is this Guy?….we were raised wBritish Iron in Canada….but M-G heads keep your knees from freezing, got huge torque and big tanks…some review….[?]
Don't be a fool man! sell a kidney!!!
the sound from 1.40 to 2.09 ist great, much better than of the Bonneville – though they have the same engine….
The Thruxton is an 865cc Engine with 68hp, 51 torque. The firing interval is 270 compared to the 320 on the Bonne. That's why it is a more "Racier" MC. Yeah it cost more than some but it's quality.. Triumph has been around since 1902. The look of the carbs were kept for the vintage look. There are many things you can do to get more torque. It is an amazing MC all around.. If your in the market for a nice MC Triumph is a brand that will be your best friend. It is a luxury item so price shouldn't be a factor for fun!
triumph writes, both (thruxton and Bonnie) have 360 degree firing interval, only Scrambler has 270.
The Triumph Thruxton is a beautiful bike. It's very smooth, fuel injected, and handles great in the mountain curves. Would like to see more HP and stock exhaust like the British Customs Predator pipes. I really enjoyed riding one.
I just can't get my head around this knee in the breeze stuff. Keep your knees against the tank unless unless you're trying to pass Rossi.
150?
Please!!!!! keep yer knees in!
They should have got the v7 racer to compair with
Nice vid and review, but why not release it as one film of 5 minutes ?? !!
I think you picked the wrong bikes to compare. It should've been the Triumph Bonneville versus the Moto-Guzzi V7 Stone and the Thruxton versus the V7 Racer !!!
I'd like to see a review if possible of a Harley-Davidson Iron 883 versus the V7 Stone and Bonneville, as i think they're all aimed at the same user / rider / buyer ?? !!
"British racing green color way"? And the issue with simply using the word "color" is……………..?
I have rode both and I would take the guzzi day and night over the triumph. MG's motor are amazing so much charm and character is churned out of that small block transverse V2. The thruxton is awesome no doubt but the character and sound from ALL guzzi is just smiles the entire time you ride period.
Runs smoother less vibrations LOL.
Hey Mr Adam… You got to compare Triumph bonneville se with guzzi v7 stone. Truimph t 100 with Guzzi v7 special. Then Truimph thruxton with Guzzi Razor. Eh….
Guzzi v7 racer is the one to compare with Thruxton not v7 stone. What a load of crap.
You raved about the Thruxton not so much the Moto Guzzi , yet you'd buy the Guzzie …hmmmm
"lately they have a history" ???
The Triumph is over 100 pounds heavier than the V7 unfortunately. A better comparison would be the Moto Guzzi Grizzo. Same price and same weight.
