Stephen Blyth RIP : I met Stephen whilst judging a custom show years ago, He won best Trike, an award I`d sponsored. Later he came to my shop and we drank tea and became friends. He was an excellent Engineer, he`d built the trike himself, he was a railway engineer then ( He`d built a working engine and track in his back garden too) He also worked on Top Fuel dragsters as a hobby,Rebuilding heads during strip down between runs! Yes: he was good !! We spent hours drinking tea and discussing Engineering problems and he helped (as shown here) with the Racing of our KoolSpirit Blown Pop ! Unfortunately Stephen had a very bad crash on his Trike due to a weld breaking on the imported Girder forks ! He lost control and went over the crash barrier and hit a car coming the other way , He suffered bad head injuries but lived !! He asked me to help rebuild the trike and we had started making parts when I closed the business. Stephen died before I`d left, but I didn’t know. Well here`s the surprise, He left me the remains of the trike, and I`d intended to bring it here to Oz, But his sister wanted it to stay and be rebuilt in the UK so bought the parts off me ! So I have used the money to buy a Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster 900 : I`ve named it `Blithe Spirit`
