Norton Lowboy T100/RS

In the 1950s, Norton motorcycle with a single-cylinder engine Manx achieved many victories, but in the 60s Norton bet on two-cylinder inline engine «Dominator». The new bike has surpassed Manx, so engineers (Doug Hele) has developed a new frame «Lowboy» for the project «Domiracer».

NEW allowed to make the bike easier to model Manx Domiracer 16 kg. However, the project died when the racing workshop «Bracebridge Street» in 1962 is closed, and Doug Hal retired from Norton Company in Triumph.

The most beautiful motorcycle Lowboy Racer photographed Frenchman Benoit Guerra (Benoit Guerry). The bike has a frame «Lowboy», plug Norton Roadholder, Seeley brakes and a five-speed gearbox Triumph. Engine – Triumph T100 / RS 1957. The bike was built in the 70s somewhere in England.

The whole bike weighs only 135 kg, which explains how these bikes could go round the Tourist Trophy at an average speed of over 160 km / h (100 miles / hour).
