I'm with you like it buy it that would sum up my GSX 750 Katana 🇺🇸boy I love that Suzy and you have just described him Shawn and I really like the GS 310 I think that would be a good buy for me however I keep hearing Beemers are very high tech and need expensive maintenance and parts or is this untrue and they are more or less similar to Suzuki , Honda in running cost we hear a lot of scare stories about how exotic and costie they are and it tends to put me off ?

Those are interesting rims on that thing.. I'd love to see you play around on one of those 650 scooters they make. That's such an odd idea to me, it seems like something some mechanic would do in his garage.. "I got this here scoot an' it ain't got no power.. le's throw this here six fity in it!" 😛 seems like a blast if you can stay on it! If they put a flat long seat on it like the Z900 Kawi has, I'd love the R1200R, especially the 2018 dark one.. that new paint is wicked looking! (espresso metallic)
I still think the 500-650 market is the place to be these days, really looking forward to people getting a hold of the new Royal Enfield and see what they think about them, though 48hp out of an injected 650 seems pretty low these days but I guess it's because they want it to be accessible to 500 riders. They also seem to be a bit on the heavy side from the specs I've read, but then that's compared to the classic Triumph T120, even the R model (road) was under 400lbs. And btw I quote specs because I haven't been hands on. And yes the 200lbs difference between a Street Bob and Classic Triumph, or Street Bob and Road King is a huge difference. Hell you can feel it between a SB and a Softail Slim or even a Fat Bob and the Fat Bob is only 40lbs heavier yet I can barely get that thing off the side stand.

I can't get by that it is made independently in India where they glue the BMW sign on it. Do you really think this is a BMW (which I like) in any way. Wait to people puts several thousand miles on the bike and it decides to show its genes.

I was surprised myself back when I was going around sitting on every motorcycle I could find, how much the cockpits attracted or deterred me aesthetically alone.
Some bikes I liked, then sat on them and was not pleased with the cockpit.
Now I'm on my second motorcycle, cbr300r, and I love the cockpit.
Can't wait for Spring!
what do you think is more fun the Beamer or the Iron? I am thinking of buying a smaller bike for me to ride solo instead of always going out on my Suzuki c90. How would the 310 do on the highway? Mountains?

i like this motorcycle really much, because i am a huge guy and yesterday i was sitting on this bike and i was thinking "wow that feels great!"However, I read in many test reports that the clutch travel is very small. Is that true? Is that a problem for beginners?
