Developed fromthe famous AJS 7R and first introduced in 1959 at a cost of £455.19.3d
AMC built over 180 examples of the G50 before production finished in 1962.
Colin Seeley later bought the AMC racing department and continued to develop the engines and fitted them in his own frames which continued to be very successful
