Now thats a tip ill have to try it
Great tip, Thanks
I just bought a 100ml syringe from a Hydroponics shop that was large enough for brake bleeding and then got lucky and walked past a pet shop and bought some aquarium air pump tubing, quite lucky I thought considering its very hard to get these things except online, unlike the US here in the UK you dont get syringes in chemists, pet shops, cookery shops etc except expensive glass and metal syringes.
I've always had syringes in my tool chest but never thought to use them to lube cables, what a dummy! I've always used the cone/gravity overnight technique. Lesson learned…
If you are bringing a bike out of storage that has a fuel pump or a vacuum petcock you can use a syringe to inject the right amount of fuel into the fuel line to fill the float bowls instead of running the battery down cranking until there is enough in them to start.
