Vikki and her Honda Dominators
Bike Shed’s co-founder Vikki van Someren AKA ‘Little Big Noise’ has been riding motorcycles since she was small enough to fit under the fence and sneak onto MX tracks. She’s had a long list of bikes including Ducatis, Buells and Husqvarnas but it’s the venerable Honda NX650 Dominator that excites her these days. Rather than go down new-bike route Vikki has persevered with her trusty 1992 Andy Greenland ‘Dominatrix’. Rain or shine this is the city weapon of choice, the ridiculously loud exhaust and backfiring flames bringing a kid-like grin to her face every time she pulls up to work on it.
It’s been through a few iterations during her ownership but became a bit of a money pit so it was time for something new. So what did she replace it with? Another Dommie!
The slightly newer model was here at the Shed for about a week before the upgrades started. Vikki & Dutch run through the changes so far and discuss plans for both bikes. We’ll cover her progress in the next instalment.

Please! Where ican buy a big bore kit for my dominator??
Why no Q-Plate?
Once you're altered the Frame, you need to go through the MSVA rigmarole, and then it'll be given a Q-Plate.

Needs another 3 feet longer exhaust…..
Lots of peple are putting knobblies on road bikes and calling them scramblers. Putting street bike bodywork on a trail bike makes much more sense to me.
