that sucks….finally someone putting the hogs for a run. they were liquid cooled hosses they didnt leak everywhere!
They only stop shit if they lose $$$$$$
Went to tytlers and loved the Victory section. Sad to see them discontinue. On a positive note anyone who is looking at getting one, their price will probably drop a little bit.
It's all about "cents". They weren't sell enough of them to justify continuing to put money into the brand. The Victory market share has been stagnant and they weren't selling "quite well".
They cut corners on parts and service ..and people just look for other brands
Very sad indeed Tex
This is a consolidation. The best selling Victory models will just be tweaked & rebranded as Indian to round out the Indian lineup. I was told that by federal law, Victory parts will be manufactured for 10 years after ceasing operations and all warranties must be honored.
They probably just going to stick the Indian badge on the victory and keep the looks probably.
I don't know why it's so hard for you to understand that Polaris is closing Victory, the division didn't do anything and only had 3% market share after 18 years. Don't get me wrong, i own a 2008 Victory Jackpot so i am not bashing Victory, but the writing was on the wall on April 19, 2011 when Polaris announced they would purchase Indian from Kings Mountain.
Why dump on Polaris just because they are closing an unprofitable division? HD did the same thing with their Buell line.
Money for corporations don't just appear, they need to sell products and Victory wasn't.
I heard Indian was selling 15-1 over Victory so of course it makes sense to close Victory and focus on new Indian models.
