I'm 53, when I was 17 you could ride a 250 on L plates most then were 2 strokes that flew up to a ton
Also I got on the road at 16 then jumped up to 125 and rode that for 3 yrs ,,,so at 20 was told couldn't ride anything till I'd done my cbt,, yet I had 4 yrs experience on the road fuckin crazy this government,,,it hasn't just gone wampy it's always been fucked young chap
Can you believe that in Italy you can get a license for 50cc bike when you are 14
so basically im 21 with no knowledge of bikes what so ever!! Can i just go ahead take a cbt and a full a2 test? right away or do i need to ride a 125 for 2 years before?
the rules are daft. i'm 32. i did my cbt to get my learner plates at age 29 after driving a car for 12 years first, bought a 125cc, rode that for a year to practise, then did theory test, did a week of riding with an instructor to go from 125, 400 then to 500 cc, then i did module 1, then more practise, then module 2. bought a 600cc, then got an 800. took a few years but way better then just going for the unrestricted straight away. the amount of idiots on the roads these days, you need to learn to anticipate them before going for a big engine and even the motorways. remember its not you that you have to be careful of on the roads, its predicting and having the attention and awareness to know what others are doing around you so you can be safe.
motorbike test for A1 / A2 and full access are the same ?
Need some help, so i recently turned 16 a few months back, and was looking to get a small 50cc bike to get around on, so i can get to college and that, but im unsure about a few things, like the 31mph law, i also think its ridiculous and insane as this put the rider in more harm, i was thinking about getting a little Derbi GPR 50 or a Aprilia RS 50 or maybe the RS4 50, but i cant decide, and i know its illegal to derestrict the bike at my age, but do you think the police would notice, or be bothered that i did derestrict the bike, or would i get in trouble for doing it or would the police just not know, i mean im id just be driving around town and to and from school and where i live there are mainly fast roads like 30s to 70s, so id have no way of keeping up? now i just have to convince my parents to let me ride! Lamo
I am 21. looking at getting a Honda 300cbr as my first bike, hoping to move on 600xc further down the line. any recommendations?
What handlebar guards do you have and what bars and tail tidy
in sweden mopeds are 15 and its 16 for a1 18 for a2 and 20 for a if you have had your license for 2 years and i think the rest of EU is the same
i just passed my cbt i have full insurance i was wondering what the laws are on exhaust?
this guy is a bulb i bught an rs 125 at 16 and had no problem insuring
I have french citizenship and British residency, am I allowed to do a licence in a france and use it in the uk. I can ride a 125 at 16.
Its a fucking rip off.. A2 costs 600 pounds what the fuck.
I'm 28, planning to do my CBT soon. Can I only ride a 125cc and do I have to display L plates? I have a full car licence already.
Travel as a man and not as a person and you can ride whatever bike you want without a licence.
So basically its just better waiting till your 24 years old to go in for a motorcycle licence.
how tall are you ?
they have really messed with the bike laws since i first started riding in the mid 70s.. in those days you could ride any moped at 16 (50cc) i had a Yamaha fs1e (fizzy) with no test at all.. then at 17 you could ride anything up to a 250cc if memory serves or you could just pass one simple test and you could jump off that moped straight onto Kawasaki 900… for life.. or at least as long as you lived, which for most, wasn't very long… now its the nanny state gone mad and of course trying to make as much money of the bikers as possible.
I'm really lucky as my granddad is a qualified bike and car instructor, aka I can get my licence without paying a fine 🙂
What bike is that
Fucking EU
It's basically a load of BS you can go to war at 18 but heaven forbid we give him a motorcycle with more than 45bhp
So say when I'm 17 in a year, I could do my CBT purchase say a YZ 125 insure it ect would I be able to ride it? with it being a 2 stroke and that
Hi I was just wonder I'm thinking of upgrading to an a1 license from a CBT how much does a a1 cost on average if you use your own bike?
I have to be honest when the laws changed in 2013 it made a lot of what I'd call young adults swear but if we as motorcyclists want to ride big bikes them we would be happy to do it the right way the fact that so many young adults complain about it is silly as they have no idea how much trouble they could get into on a 600 upwards I mean seriously take the r6 the r1 younger brother they are stupidly quick and would easily get someone who is under the age of 24 killed or seriously injured so I have to conclude that I surporrt the new laws fully as anyone under 24 regardless of experience just simply has no idea what they are doing on big bikes
