2018 new Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 1200 TVC promo video

2018 new Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 1200 TVC promo video
NEW HARLEY-DAVIDSON FORTY-EIGHT SPECIAL AND IRON 1200 SPORTSTERS FUSE THROW-BACK DESIGN WITH MODERN PERFORMANCE
High Handlebars, Cool Graphics, and Garage-Built Attitude
MILWAUKEE (February 21, 2018) – Harley-Davidson adds to the long legacy of its Sportster motorcycle line with the introduction of the Iron 1200 and Forty-Eight Special models. The latest in a line of 100 high-impact motorcycles the company plans to introduce by 2027, these new high-bar Sportsters combine throw-back styling trends from the custom-bike scene with the solid foundation of the Sportster platform and the punchy performance of the Evolution 1200 V-Twin engine.
Since its introduction in 1957, Sportster motorcycles have been repeatedly reimagined, in the hands of both the Motor Company and bike owners: The Sportster as a bobber, a chopper, a scrambler and a café racer; as a hero on flat tracks and drag strips and road-race courses; as an accessible entry-point for first-time riders, and as a custom-of-one cruiser.
“Since its inception, the Sportster has offered the perfect combination of size, power and character that makes it appealing to so many different riders,” said Brad Richards, Harley-Davidson V.P. of Styling & Design. “A Sportster is a relatively easy bike to strip down and reinvent. What we’ve done to create the new Iron 1200 and Forty-Eight Special is what Sportster owners have been doing with their own bikes for generations.”
New fuel tank graphics distinguish both the Iron 1200 and the Forty-Eight Special, and combine bold color stripes with a formal typeface, color and graphic elements originally popular in the 1970s.
“The art on these two fuel tanks reflect contemporary trends we are seeing on custom bikes and in design in general, a move away from more complex and intricate art to a look that’s very simple and clean,” said Richards. “It’s also important to note that these graphics respect the shape of the fuel tank and in the case of the Sportster, that tank shape is a classic design element in its own right.”

Iron 1200™
The Iron 1200 recipe starts with power. A 1202cc Evolution® 1200 V-Twin engine delivers 36 percent more torque (73.0 ft. lbs. vs. 53.8 ft. lb.) than the 883 Evolution engine that powers the Iron 883, the original urban brawler in the Sportster family. The Iron 1200 brings more punch to the street fight – more power to blast away from green lights and more mid-range to muscle through traffic. More power means more rowdy fun.
The satin-black Mini Ape handle bar is an essential element of the garage-built chopper look that adds instant attitude. This 1.0-inch diameter handlebar offers an 8.75-inch rise, 32-inch spread and 6.5-inch pull back, that opens the rider triangle with a fist-in-the-wind posture. The gloss black speed screen framing the headlamp is a West Coast styling influence that amplifies the attitude of the tall bars, is intended to offer some wind deflection at speed and provides a space for easy personalization. The fast-back Café Solo Seat flows to the rear fender and is shaped to help hold the rider in position when the torque of the Evolution 1200 kicks in.
A classic 3.3-gallon Sportster fuel tank features multi-colored striped graphics that wrap around the tank profile. The dark engine finish helps draw the eyes to the bright tank graphics. Fuel tank paint color options include Vivid Black, Twisted Cherry and Billiard White, always contrasting with the Vivid Black speed screen.
The entire powertrain has been styled with a popular color: black upper and lower rocker boxes, black exhaust and muffler shields, and black timer, primary and derby covers. Chrome pushrod tubes and tappet covers are the only brightwork and highlight the V-Twin engine shape. The Iron 1200 is finished with all-black 9-Spoke wheels (19-inch front and 16-inch rear diameter) and a solid black belt guard and rear sprocket.
The Harley-Davidson Smart Security System and anti-lock braking system (ABS) are factory-installed options for the Iron 1200 model.

IN BRIEF IRON 1200
Dark Custom style. Corner-cranking performance. The blacked-out, stripped down look makes a bold understatement. The nimble handling, trademark rumble, and 70s retro-vibe tank put an exclamation point on it.
Iron 1200™ Motorcycle Features:
Blacked out, 1200cc Evolution® V-Twin engine
Authentic bold 70’s-inspired tank graphic
New Fists in the wind attitude with black Mini-Apes
Café solo seat
Fixed speed screen
Nine-spoke wheels that are black as night from rim to rubber to complement the Dark Custom look
Blacked-out finishes from its powertrain to its air cleaner cover to its exhaust.

2017 new Indian Chieftain Elite intro promo video

2017 new Indian Chieftain Elite intro promo video
Indian Motorcycle’s show stopping 2017 Chieftain Elite
A new standard in bagger style is here – the Chieftain Elite.
Indian Motorcycle’s designers have reimagined what a top-of-the-line Chieftain should look like and have added custom paint and other design features to create a more premium look than ever before.
The new 2017 Chieftain Elite is a masterpiece for those that want an ultra-exclusive Indian Motorcycle that will turn heads. Only 350 of these will be sold globally.
“With Chieftain Elite we wanted to design the most-premium, feature-packed Chieftain that we could possibly imagine,” said Reid Wilson, Director of Marketing for Indian Motorcycle. “In the end, I think the bike exceeded even our own high expectations. It’s an absolute show stopper.”
For those who demand the best of the best, the Chieftain Elite steps up to the plate as a bike that’s as close to custom as possible.
The Chieftain Elite features a custom Fireglow Red Candy with Marble Accents paint scheme completed entirely by hand by Indian Motorcycle’s paint facility located in Spearfish, South Dakota. It takes a small, specialised team over 25 hours to hand paint each bike and no two Chieftain Elites look exactly the same.
The Chieftain Elite has a cutback front fender that shows off the new ten-spoke 19″ front wheel beautifully.
The headlight bezel has been colour matched to the fairing and the leather saddle is more streamline than the standard model and has contrast stitching.
The Chieftain Elite also comes with a wealth of premium amenities:
– Instead of a standard headlight, it has a Pathfinder LED headlight and driving lights.
– There’s a flared power windshield
– Rider and passenger floorboards are made from billet aluminium
– It has 200-watt sound system (two speakers in the fairing and two in the saddlebags)
It also has the industry leading Ride Command seven-inch infotainment system and anti-lock brakes (ABS), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), keyless ignition, a power adjustable windshield and just enough chrome to tastefully highlight all the attitude this ultra-exclusive bike has to offer.
CHIEFTAIN ELITE FEATURES
HAND PAINTED & ONE OF A KIND_Each Chieftain Elite is hand painted with ultra-premium candy paint, exclusively blended by Indian Motorcycle. The result is a bike that is truly unlike any other. A small, dedicated team of specialists in Indian Motorcycle’s paint facility in Spearfish, South Dakota work meticulously to mask, lay graphics and paint, all by hand, spending over 25 hours to complete each bike’s breath-taking finish.
FIREGLOW RED CANDY FINISH_The brand-new Fireglow Red Candy paint features a large flake base and layers of deep candy paint. The hand-painted marble accents and black pinstriping give this bike a truly custom look.
COLOUR-MATCHED EXTRAS & CUSTOM STYLE_The Chieftain Elite has a unique tank console, horn, airbox and primary and cam covers with colour matched pinstripes.
OPEN FRONT FENDER_The new sawn-off front fender gives the bike a more streamlined look. It also shows off the new 10-spoke wheel design and those dual front brake rotors and calipers. The cutback fender also offers a subtle nod to Indian’s ‘open’ fenders of the 1920s and 1930s.
10 SPOKE WHEELS_Both the front 19-inch and rear 16” wheels have a new 10-spoke design previously not seen on an Indian model.
PREMIUM STYLE PIECES_The bike’s custom look and feel is carried out through a host of premium standard accessories including billet aluminium rider and passenger floorboards and a flared, tinted windscreen.
THUNDER STROKE 111 ENGINE_Indian Motorcycle’s Thunder Stroke 111 V-Twin engine serves up 135Nm of torque letting you accelerate hard in every gear with power to spare.
RIDE COMMAND_Pinch. Swipe. Tap. All without removing your gloves. Offering the industry’s largest, fastest, and most customizable infotainment system, the seven-inch Ride Command system allows you to get turn-by-turn directions, quickly navigate to points of interest, play Bluetooth audio, check vehicle information and status, plus a whole lot more via its easy to use interface. And thanks to split-screen technology, you can easily customise three rider screens to display the information that matters to you most.
PREMIUM AUDIO_The Chieftain Elite has a 200-watt audio system with an AM/FM stereo, Bluetooth connectivity and a smartphone compatible USB input. There are two speakers in the fairing (100-watts) and a speaker in the top of each saddlebags (a further 100-watts).
KEYLESS IGNITION_Keyless starting is secure and convenient. With the Chieftain Elite key fob in your pocket, climb on the bike, push a button and ride. If you misplace the fob, press in a security code pre-programmed into the ignition to start it up.

2017 THE ALL-NEW MILWAUKEE-EIGHT ENGINE
The sound of the Harley-Davidson® 45-degree V-Twin rings through the history of motorcycling in an unbroken line stretching back to 1909. Each one improving on the one before it. Iconic. Durable. Unmistakable in their sound. Unparalleled in their muscular look. Unmatched in the feeling they deliver to the rider. And now we’re proud to introduce the most powerful Harley-Davidson engines ever built: The all-new Milwaukee-Eight™ 107 and Milwaukee-Eight™ 114 engines. The next generation Harley-Davidson® V-Twin comes to our touring line. The next era of power, performance and innovation has been forged.

ALL-NEW MILWAUKEE-EIGHT 107 ENGINE
At the heart of the Harley-Davidson® touring line this year, you find the most powerful, coolest-running engines we’ve ever built. The Milwaukee-Eight™ 107 V-Twin is smoother, stronger and durable. With crisper throttle response and truer, cleaner sound. Four valves per cylinder, single chain-driven cam, dual spark plugs, counter-balanced and rubber mounted. Developed and proven over countless miles and millions of hours. Not a single mechanical part remains from the Twin Cam engine that preceded them. Today, it’s a whole new ride.

MILWAUKEE-EIGHT 107 ENGINE OVERVIEW
Here are eight ways the new Milwaukee-Eight™ 107 engine gives you a better ride*:
More Power- Bigger cylinders, four-valve cylinder heads and dual spark plugs deliver 10% more torque and more power throughout the rev range with no net weight gain.
Better Fuel Economy**- The power comes with improved fuel economy to give you more out of every tank of gas.
Heat Management- Precision oil or water cooling for cooler running and consistent performance, from stop-and-go traffic to highway speeds.
More Passenger Comfort- Positions for the rear exhaust pipe and catalytic converters provide a more comfortable ride.
More Charging Power- A charging system with 50% more power at idle to make easy work of the demands modern touring features put on an electrical system.
Smoother Running- The counter-balancing system, rubber mounts, lower idle speed and dual knock sensors for more precise timing control and smoother running from idle to top gear.
Less Maintenance-The valve train requires no adjustment no matter how many years or miles you ride.
Narrow Primary- The narrower primary drive gives your left foot a straighter, easier reach to the ground, for an easier lift off and more control at stoplights.

2017 Harley-Davidson new Milwaukee-Eight engine ‘inside the Factory H-D’ promo video

2017 Harley-Davidson new Milwaukee-Eight engine ‘inside the Factory Harley-Davidson’ promo video
The all-new Harley-Davidson® Milwaukee-Eight™ engine, ninth in the lineage of the company’s iconic Big Twin engines, delivers more power and an improved motorcycling experience for riders and passengers while retaining the iconic look, sound and feel of its predecessors. An all-new design, the Milwaukee-Eight engine offers quicker throttle response, more passing power, purer sound, a smoother ride and more of the feeling riders want from a Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycle engine.
New Milwaukee-Eight engines will power every 2017 Harley-Davidson Touring and Trike motorcycle model. Milwaukee-Eight engines will be offered in two displacements and three variations:
Milwaukee-Eight 107 (107 CID, 1750cc) featuring precision oil-cooled cylinder heads for the Street Glide®/Street Glide® Special, Road Glide®/Road Glide Special®, Electra Glide® Ultra Classic®, Road King® and Freewheeler® models.
Twin-Cooled™ Milwaukee-Eight 107 (107 CID, 1750cc) featuring liquid-cooled cylinder heads for the Ultra Limited/Ultra Limited Low, Road Glide® Ultra and Tri Glide® Ultra models.
Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114 (114 CID,1870cc) featuring liquid-cooled cylinder heads for the CVO™ Limited and CVO™ Street Glide® models.
More Power
Each Milwaukee-Eight engine produces 10 percent more torque than the engine it replaces in Touring models. In addition to increased displacement, the Milwaukee-Eight engine features a higher compression ratio and four-valve cylinder heads with 50 percent more intake and exhaust flow capacity. The valve train requires no adjustment as the design of the rocker arms enables valve lash to be set at the factory for life. Dual spark plugs for each cylinder contribute to more-efficient combustion. A single chain-driven camshaft is lighter, mechanically less complex and creates less friction and noise.
Quicker Acceleration
The Milwaukee-Eight engine weighs the same as the engines it replaces, so all of its extra power contributes directly to improved acceleration performance.
The Milwaukee-Eight 107 accelerates 11 percent quicker 0-60 mph, equal to a two to three bike length improvement, and 11 percent quicker from 60-80 mph in top gear, equal to a one to two bike length improvement, compared to the Twin Cam High Output 103.
The Milwaukee-Eight 114 accelerates 8 percent quicker 0-60 and 12 percent quicker 60-80 than the Twin Cam 110™.
Heat Management
The Milwaukee-Eight engine offers improved rider and passenger thermal comfort due to reduced heat absorption, increased heat rejection and a redesigned exhaust system. Each Milwaukee-Eight engine features a precision cooling strategy based on the specific demands of the motorcycle model, using a targeted flow of either oil or liquid coolant around the hottest areas of the cylinder heads. A new knock sensor for each cylinder enables more-precise timing control. The rear exhaust pipe is re-positioned and the exhaust catalyst is relocated to move heat away from the passenger. Idle speed is lowered from 1,000 rpm to 850 rpm.
Improved Fit
A new, slimmer primary drive cover and the low-profile shape of the air cleaner cover provide improved rider legroom around the engine and an easier reach to the ground for many riders. All Milwaukee-Eight powered models are fitted with an Assist and Slip Clutch with improved hydraulic actuation that reduces clutch lever effort by 7 percent.
Reduced Vibration
The rubber-mounted Milwaukee-Eight engine features a single internal counter balancer that cancels 75 percent of primary vibration at idle for a more-refined feel and more-comfortable experience for rider and passengers while retaining the classic character of Harley® V-Twin engines.
Richer Exhaust Note
Lighter valves, a single camshaft, optimized cover designs and improved driveline components eliminate mechanical powertrain noise. The engine intake and air cleaner are designed to reduce intake sound while ensuring maximum air flow. As a result, the new Milwaukee-Eight engine is mechanically quieter, enabling a richer exhaust tone, and meets all global noise and emissions standards while allowing the unmistakable rumble of its exhaust note to resonate.
Improved Charging
The Milwaukee-Eight engine charging system delivers 50 percent more output to the battery at idle to better support the power demands of Touring riders, including accessory lighting, performance audio, and heated gear and other accessories.
New Engine Styling
The Milwaukee-Eight engine features sleek, modern styling that respects the heritage of previous Harley-Davidson Big Twin engines.
