The CX500 engine is much older than the guzzi… And still much more reliable than the newer guzzi ones!

I laugh at all these so called cafe racers people are building out of old despatch rider bikes, because that's all the CX was good for, an over weight top heavy ugly slug.
Know as the plastic maggot in the UK early ones were notoriously unreliable with camshaft and cam chain issues.

I love Moto Guzzi engines…can't afford 'em, but can approximate the sound and feel with that CX/GL 650…Used to have a GL 650 Silverwing ( before it was a scooter), loved that bike… look
