Looking Ahead: Best New 2018 Motorcycles
The new model announcement season is an exciting time for motorcyclists, as it’s when we get our first glance at all the latest motorcycles being released in the upcoming year. While AIMExpo, with its extremely early event date (starting on September 22nd), was short on new models, EICMA blew the doors off of 2018 with no less than 37 different new bikes that we covered here on MO.
With so many motorcycles on the menu for next year, we took some time after the Long Beach IMS Media Day to discuss the model year that is just over the horizon. So, strap on your riding gear and get ready for 2018. It looks like it will be a hell of a ride!

KTM to remake the Nuda with that 790 engine.
I want to add a Honda Monkey 125 to my garage!!
Do the CB1000R and Z900 share the same turn signals?
This video has me thinking my pocket book will have to be opened up for some new bikes in 2018. The 1st is definitely the Goldwing. I am curious why no mention of MV Agusts.
Katana????
It looks like a old Street fighter. It's looks like there going backwards instead of forward.
strange ..Harley Davidson was never on anyone's list
Honda cb1000r isn't retro to me, Kawasaki Z900RS however looks to be retro. Ducati Pannigale w/o it's clothes looks like a plumbers nightmare but that passes for exotic now days. Who has done sport touring would consider the Kawasaki H2SX for touring? Liked the African Twin but when have the millennials actually supported bikes the Goldwing? The Yamaha Niken seems to be an answer to question no one asked. Royal Enfield looks good to me with favorable pricing but guys they don't look as good as the Triumphs. Funky Husky with a high price with a loyal following, really??? Monkey 125 looks like a one that will have following.
Check out the Japanese spy @ 4:45.
I'm not so sure about this Niken bike. I've watched a few videos about it and it's pretty weird. I guess it's better than a spyder, but it's still weird. I'm glad Yamaha is cool enough to try something so out there and I hope it sells, I just don't think I could ever own one
Exactly how does the Yamaha XSR "harken back to the XS's of the seventies and what not" when the only resemblance is a wheel at each end? the XS's were either four, or in the case of the 750, a triple cylinder machine and this is a twin! As for the Honda, Retro? How? it's about as retro as the internet!
No mention of the Triumph Speedmaster, which is a very cool looking variant of the Bonneville, cruiser style.
Why are no Harley Davidson bikes part of this?
I'm waiting for Borille …Google it .
Amen!
2018: The year I buy some bikes!
I feel like this video should be just titled: "Hey Hipster Millennials, do you like us yet? Money? Like us please."
I just don't understand why anyone thinks the Yamaha looks anything like the xs650 (or is really a retro) .
I see jack-squat that I'm interested in. Bring back the VTX-1800 and the like, or get high-roller HD to quit producing crap and get after something like the 1800, and maybe I'd be interested.
Continental GT looks sexy af
rocket menu wealth just guess education audience flee status song.
Very exciting motorcycles coming!
vit pilen it is a long i in swedish its pronounced viiiit piiiilen. How u say pilen is a small weiner in swedish xD. Instead of white arrow.
Love Ducati V4!
Looks like honda cb1000r is a mix of brutale dragster and diavel s
How come there is no MV Agusta?
Anyone else think the CB1000r is a copy of the vitpilen?
where's benelli?
