Is the Triumph Bobber fuel tank range that bad?
I’ve ridden a few tankfuls now on my Bobber. Here is the real world mileage from totally normal use.
Update, I’ve done the maths for anyone interested in the numbers. Each full tank is averaging out between 4 and 4.5 litres /100km.
In UK MPG, it works out my worst tank has been 62MPG. Best being around 70MPG.
The USA having different sized gallons it works out as 52 – 58 MPG.
My worst tank range (this one) was about 156km (97 miles). Best was 170km (105 miles). Mostly countryside riding. Zero urban. Zero traffic.

Absolutely love my Bobber! With the Vance and Hines and de-cat with the X pipe. I think my mileage actually got better. And my hand is always heavy on the throttle.
Wear any Levi's jeans with your leather jacket???
My range is 135 miles before fuel pucker factor. My ass is ready for a break then anyway and I just as well rest it at a gas station. People need to get over the mileage thing on a bike that's not meant to be a touring bike. Some bitch simply to make their day complete…
But how many litres is the reserve??? Still none the wiser.
Your math skills are pretty impressive! Thanks for the update!
