Hello Everyone, the all-new Indian Motorcycle will have pricing that is more attainable than it has been in the recent past. We cannot, however, share pricing at this time.
As a current Indian owner and Rider, so far I can only say Polaris is right on with the 2014. I can't wait to get my hands on one!

Out of all the wonderful Indians ridden, not one V twin has a unified motor transmission combination. Indian was also known for having a bullet proof primary drive and a separate transmission that was bolted to the engine. It really pains me to say this, but the new design is a throw away, comparable to the Kawasaki made Indian look a like. You may have given it a new heart, but you killed the lungs. I'd like to blame it on young of engineers "with a better idea." I'm sure that's not the case.
I really love Indian bikes and I have been saving my money for a new since 1999 when they came back. I was waiting for a stable company, like Polaris, to purchase the company so it would have a permanent home. I was so excited for Indian. I also was very excited indeed to finally get to get a new bike. I am B.S.I.E. with a very strong background in machining and lean manufacturing. I am also an avid cyclist and really wanted to apply to Indian in hopes that I could be part of the relaunch.
An injury got into the way of applying. I really like the looks of the engine. It is very apparent that the team didn't have any history living with American bikes other than the Victory. You can ride old bikes, look at pictures, research and what not, but if you haven't lived with or depended on the old bikes, you wouldn't know how to implement them in the design. A tranny bearing can go out and trash the power-unit. No one wants gear and bushing wear flowing thru their motor as well.
I am riding a 2011 Cross Roads and live that bike. However if the new Indian comes out with a bagger then I will be crossing over.
I hope they are affordable. Not everyone is sharing in the so-called economic recovery since the "end of the recession." One of the first bikes I rode was a 47 Indian Chief.
The 'unveiling' of the new Chief will happen at the Sturgis rally this August! It will be priced (reasonably) respectable at just under $19k! If Polaris can do to Indian what it has done to Victory, I think it will have a bright future!
I wish the new Indian every success. The first bike I ever had a ride on was a 1947 Indian chief, as a passenger. this was 1954, They had just closed there doors the year before. Indians are loved by old timers. I hope the new designers don't get too mired in the past though, and lose sight of the fact, that Indian built it's reputation by being the fastest kid on the block. You can build a pretty replica, but they will also need a modern design that can kick ass!

it will be interesting to see if the lack of flashy chrome and fringed leather caught the lads attention. im sick of the fake ass bling, but i fear they will go the way of rub a davidson.

Hey Polaris, your motor rattles and sounds like there is no oil in it at around 2000 RPM. What gives? My dealer tried to investigate and you denied them the ability to check clearances. Your fly by wire throttle feels loose, has lag spots and even dead in some spots. Above 4,000 RPM and the throttle grip still twists but the motor just stops accelerating. Did you think all owners would never want to go over 3000 RPM? I am really disappointed with the upper mid and high range of this motor.
