Honda Race Replica 1960’s 400cc – Part 2 – Front Wheel & Brake

Hoxton Moto presents the second in a series of short films covering the build of a ‘poor man’s’ 1960’s Honda Race Replica

Using a 1970’s Honda CB 400/4 as a donor bike, this build successfully mimics the famous Honda Racing style of the 60’s period when they first achieved success at the Isle of Man TT. This era had many legendary riders but probably the most well known is Mike Hailwood

The series provides interesting information about sourcing components, fabrication and tuning. It is not attempting to build an exact replica, but to capture the essence of the period with styling and create a nostalgic ride.

This episode covers front wheel components, assembly and drum brake adjustment method.

Hoxton Moto will also post a fact file on its website giving details about where the components were sourced and list suppliers that give helpful advise.

Please use the comment box for inquires or email us, we’d be happy to pass on any useful information.
