Here is why the new Triumph Tiger 1200 XRT is worth $28,000
I might be a bit excited about this bike…

$28000!!!! ummm nope. overpriced overcomplicated motorcycle. So much expensive shit to break and have to pay through the nose to repair
Old timer here, hope all these new electronic gadgets are not Lucas, uncle joe was known as the prince of darkness back in the day because the electrics would just pack it in at any time, hence no lights.
Had two old Bonnies way back and happened to both !!!
Great video! However, please invest in a gimble to reduce camera shaking!
Off topic. I saw Tom sat around the fire place at last year's MOTOGP. Found him from the photos he posted. I was camping too. Didn't take those extra few steps and chat with him though haha
Looks way better than the GS. With that said, why not mount the dash/lights to the forks in the traditional tidy way instead of a giant heavy ugly structure hanging off the front? It makes no sense for bikes without full fairings.
All the electronics are awesome but the reality is, when you're in the middle of nowhere with no help available, it's just more stuff to break. So these really are the SUV's of motorcycles. Comfortable, fancy, stupid-expensive, grocery getters. I would own one as a commuter if I was rich.
beautiful bike right there… amazing technology in there
9:42 my wife? Already got married? Where was my invitation?
tbh 90% of the features are basically useless and if you consider, that you have to pay for it all I would rather have none ^^
Gentssssssssssssssss
Get the panniers. Right side has a coffee maker ,left side with a pop tart toaster.
Sorry but I like bikes I can work on myself.
new sport bike reveal? where is it?

I don’t understand how this motorcycle is the same price as a very well equipped car. What goes into the engineering that gives it that value over a car?
can you do a review of the BMW R1100s from 2004
So besides lack of power and an electric windscreen, what else does this bike have than a KTM 1290 Super Adventure S?
One item which puts me off is the one piece frame, the bike is easily written off if you drop the thing. The 800 is the same, the BMW is subframed meaning, the back end can be detached or replaced. Having said that i've been and looked, it looks cool BTW I run a GSLC
why does it have so many off-road features for a on road only bike? Big mudguards, floodlights, handlebar covers, tall suspension travel.
Glad to see triumph stepping up n getting more competitive with BMW n kTM , I love it
Lol sorry man this does not scream 28k. The price is deep even with all the features which are not necessary.
All well and good, but can it make a good cup of coffee.
Pretty cool looking bike hey!
So when do we get a video of you taking it through the Simpson? It'll be fun!
WTF!? $28K For that? I can buy a 2018 BMW K1600 GT for that kind of cash!
Don't you love the aussie birds churping?
No knobby tyres and shaft drive? Que old man BMW rider……
Isn’t that WP suspension virtually the same as on the KTM 1290SA (original version)?
You're kidding, has everything??? Doesn't have GPS standard. Even HD has GPS standard feature on their tourers. Saddlebags???
BTW the old KTM1290SA also had hill start assist, and the heated seats (as you note)…this review takes me back 7-8 years to the Apple fanboy days 🙂 It’s too heavy, and the centre of gravity is too high.
Message brought to you by “Triumph, too bad it’s a Triumph”
Thanks for the walk around Tom. Will definitely check one out if and when we get one in Townsville. Cheers mate.
I used to have an '08 Speed Triple 1050…. How do you think the torque/revviness would compare to something like that?
it certainly is NOT worth $28K but then of course Triumph have given it to you to reach that conclusion, so we don't expect an unbiased view.
