Nice choice you really can't go wrong with a STR I've had one in the stable for 6 years now and still get the same enjoyment out of it every time I get on it there just fun too ride what more can you say.

nice bike get a full suspension adjustment so the bike is perfect just for you its one of the most overlooked things that plus spring rate.

It's a very nice looking bike , but way too much power for you.. as far as height goes I have ridden dirt bikes for years that I can't touch the ground on. When I stop I hop off on the left side and I have to hook the underside of my knee over the seat.. I used to try to not put my feet down at a stop light like trials riders do.. but I am not very good at that..
I would suggest riding a small dirt bike off road or even on a kids motocross track ..
There is nothing wrong with being a cautious rider…. but you are never going to use half the power the Triumph has .
